Tamiya M-08

The m08 can be very capable in high traction tracks....

This may sound like a dumb question...but is there a big difference between the 80amp ESC and 60 amp ESC from hobbywing? Just plan on club racing with a 2S 120C battery and a 21.5 Reedy motor. Am I at a disadvantage if I run the 60amp version?

I am a total rookie when it comes to on-road racing and would like to get an M08. My track is a tight, black carpet setup. In an effort to keep costs down, I want to run a Torque Tuned motor and run the car in a box stock setup. What shock springs and oils should I have in my parts box and what would be some good tires to try? Nobody runs mini at the track so I can’t ask locally. I don’t plan on racing, so just looking for a fun car to drive (and I like the smaller mini-sized car).

I also have a lightly used Ride set for sale. Some people still have preference for those.
