Kinda depends on the class and track your at. Really high grip black stuff in a faster class, get the 18. Anything else, run the 15 and spend the extra money in tires and practice. Heck, you have the car already, go use it.

I have a 19 that I run mod on black carpet. I also have a 15 I run on the same stuff with a 21.5 TC class. The 15 is absolutely up to that class and more but I'm glad to have the 19 for mod. I also have a 15 for mod tc on asphalt and don't see a reason to change yet.

I would guess that switching my 21.5 car to a 19 chassis wouldn't show any real improvement in my hands.

Is there a place to check compatibility between cars? Just wondering what the cost of a new chassis for the 15' would be or if I could use an updated chassis.

They changed quite a bit since.
I suggested to get the 18, because it is compatible with all current parts and most likely hasn’t seen that much abuse.
the 15 probably 4 years old and therefore has been owned buy well more than one guy.

Finally started building my T4 today. Due to "other things needing to get done", after finishing all the prep work, I only had enough time to get the first two steps done. With the exception of electronics, should have the chassis finished by Friday.

My buddy has a brand new Xray 2015 carbon chassis. PM me if you are interested in buying it. Pretty sure he would let it go for pretty cheap since he installed an aluminum chassis from the start.

Looking good. Double check the direction of your layshaft. The spur screws should be on the short belt side. Easy enough to fix, just flip the whole shaft assembly side for side.

Yes, at the bottom of the Downloads page for the T4'19, there are two options. PDF and Excel spreadsheet.

Thanks for the "heads up". Yes, it was on backwards. The image in the manual was small enough that it was difficult to tell. I should have used a flashlight (as I usually do when small print in a manual is difficult to read/see), but I thought I was correct...and, I wasn't. It's corrected now, and about to proceed to step 3.

How does that make any real difference?

It changes the position of the spur gear, it can hit the top deck if installed incorrectly.

What's going on? Normally you will see some setup sheets after an ETS, now nothing. I'm waiting for some time now. Hagberg's sheet gives a 404. Jan's setup only pictures, no sheet.
I'm looking for some asphalt setup sheets for some inspiration, I need to get rid of a rear which is stepping out a lot. This could also because the track was quite dusty.

Haven't had much time to work on the build, due to work, and "life". Thankfully, I have(finally) made it to the point of building the shocks...getting there.

In the famous words of Michael Delaney in the movie LeMans. "Racing is LIFE, everything before and after is just waiting."

Not quite finished...but almost.

With the exception of the servo & motor fan, electronics still need to be installed, followed by painting the body, and finally wheels/tires. Due to work (something has to pay for all this stuff), it took much longer than expected...but it's almost finished...except for one problem. One of the plastic eyelets for the anti-roll bars was "defective", so awaiting a r we placement from XRAY.

Can't wait to get the electronics installed, and get this chassis outside. First order of business - aligning the steering/servo. For my first on--road vehicle, I'm quite happy. I did, however, discover a "problem" work the directions. In regards to installing a motor fan, that should appear WAY earlier in the manual. Instead of being on the last page, it should have been included when installing the motor mount. Other than that, excellent build manual.
