They definetly are. There have already been pictures of Joe's and Jared's ebuggy's showing them to be alot wider. Seems like it will be around the width of the HB or losi.

Most famous is Dutch Oven Design. Before this they sell the alu DoD rear shock tower with extra holes for camber link. Now they stop making alu tower and starts with cf tower... But only for rear

Ones that makes both front and rear are
1. Prostar rc
2. Beserk rc (aus)

Both made some customization on their cf tower.
Especially beserk rc. But u cant find in their website, u need to email them for it

It is also the same shock bodies Front and Rear, lower center of gravity, ball bearing sway bars, and yes diffs are bigger and hold 35% more oil and are consistent throughout the whole run and with bearings on out-drives, they run much cooler and do not burn oil up as fast!

Hey guys, newb question here. I’m looking at getting a buggy and the 48.4 has caught my eye. Is there a reason that Tekno uses such a narrow chassis? Does it improve handling characteristics? I’m also looking into Losi and associated 1/8th scales. Totally new at this so any input would help. I’m running at a local track and I’d like a nimble buggy..

so there is no performance loss for a narrow chassis?? Or is it an advantage? Just wondering.. I’m about to buy a 48.4

No performance loss, but since it is crampt, u are limited on what electronics u can use.

The buggy is nimble, aggressive and lightweight, but it does get up set easily when clashing with other buggy. So it will teach u how to be a good driver around traffic.

If u want to upgrade, first upgrade wud be alu servo horn. At advance level, u can upgrade ur shock package to wiggins' piston setup
