Hey guys looking to get some more traction on a hard packed slick track. Does anyone have the part number for the rear chassis weight to add ? I can’t seem to find the right one

I have an extra SR diff laying around. We haven't had issues in our buggy. Anyone think it will last in a 17.5 sct truck?

I've read a number of people are having issues with them on buggies. I would think the problems would be worse on the sct because of the larger tires.

You won't be able to run it in truck, there are not any driveshafts that will fit it.

Oh ok I didn't know the Sr diff was a different width than the stock style diff. Thanks

It is the drive pin on the dog bone that is different.

Default Lay down transmissions.

Does anyone have experience with all three, Exotek, 3.0, and 4.0. I'm upgrading all my 3.0's to 4.0s but in my sct I'm using the Exotek which uses the smaller idler and the diff is 2mm higher. Is the 3.0 the same as 4.0 in regards to function and gear placement. The 3.0 would fit better in my sct.

Getting back into this hobby and decided to race SCT. Only going to race the one class so it would be good to have the latest version!

I don't know if I am the first person to do this or not but I managed to squeeze a full size stick lipo into the truck.

I have one in my gallery. Tried to add link to photos in reply but hit the 10 post barrier. I'll try again when I am at my PC.

I am running the Mamba X 4600Kv combo with Spektrum receiver and servo. Unlike my Rear motor sct 1.0 most of the electronics are low on the chassis.

Today will be the virgin run of this setup at my local track. I hope that it will jump well with the weight as far forward as it is but cornering should not be an issue.

A quick update for all who are interested. I wasn't able to race Wednesday night, nature had other plans for us in CNY. I did manage to snag some time at the track tonight though and as I suspected the turning on this truck is much improved over the 22sct 1.0 I have been running. I was able to push the truck much harder on throttle before the front end started to push on the truck. I also noticed that I had more of a selection of racing lines on the track which is something my previous truck did not give. Don't get me wrong, my old truck was easy to drive and very smooth on track; but, if my racing line was upset it was very hard to recover and get back into the groove. Given the new chassis current setup slow speed cornering is still as painful as it was on the rear motor 1.0 but the steering sharpens up as the truck starts going faster.
The weight distribution does seem to be off right now. Over jumps the truck is nose heavy, most would require between 25-30% throttle to maintain level in the air. I'm not sure how much of this is due to the MM vs RM but i am willing to bet that having the ESC as far forward as it is does exacerbates the problem. I did notice that I can prepare the truck for corners while in the air and land with the ability to whip into the corner and exit faster. My 1.0 would snap roll if I tried to land with the front wheels anywhere other than straight ahead. I think with some more tuning of the shock weights and diff fluids this will be a real fast and consistent machine.
