I just picked up a pretty beat up original XX-4 cheap on ebay and stripped it just so I could have a spare uncut graphite chassis. Mine is currently wearing the latest production uncut chassis with the new Team Losi Graphite logo. It was released after the rerelease of the WE kit and I think it had the same old part number but I can't find out anything about it on any web resources. I'll post up pics when I get home tonight.

First pic is of the bottom of the chassis. Notice the new font.

Second and third pics are of the Orion 3800 lipo fitment. Notice the small relief in the top cover and chassis right behind the motor area to get the battery to sit square.

That is just the original chassis. Nothing special.

Do people bother installing the o-rings on the front outdrives? Mine are old and crimped all over and it seems that no one really sells them anymore. Are they necessary?

I ordered that chassis from my hobby shop a few years ago. dodgeguy is correct - it's just the stock graphite chassis, but they did a run of them with the new logo after the WE was re-released. I have yet to find another one. If anyone can help, let us know. I'd love to have a good spare.

Bill at Losi tech support has no part number for it and says the part is no longer in the system and is discontinued. I want to say that I just ordered LOSA4201, but that was a long time ago and I don't really remember...

FN CUDA - nice to meet you too! I say run it til it breaks!

I didn't run them on the front, but the rear needed them. I eventually went to the xxx cr out drives for the front and rear.

I ran them because I had a 5.5 in it, and on a blue grouve track I was destroying the stock outdrives. I also went to the MIP front cvd's. Accually here is my list of mods

xxx cr outdrives
A-main aluminum caster blocks
MIP cvd up front
Assoc brace mod
crashback arms
chassis modifyed for 86 tooth spur
locked up clicker
all three belts were green
belt cover is cut for easy removal
xxx cr ea3 rear arms and hub carrier

This car was bullit proof. And I miss it very much!!!!
