Hey guys, does the slipper take time to break in? I got the bolt loose to where the beveled washers are just snug enough not to move and the slipper does not slip. However, this is on a carpet and I'm using street type tires. Now with an alan wrench stuck in the slipper shaft hole through the chassis, I can move the slipper with my finger, but on the rug, I can't feel it slip. I'm absolutely 100% positive it's built correct, I double and triple checked.
Any ideas?

Thanks, Kevin

So I am pondering a though. Would any one here be interested in purchasing the class 8 race truck body for the xx4 if I started reproducing them. It would be close to the original design with only slight modifications like a spare tire or chevy front end on it. Just gaging intrest. I dont want to make a whole run of these and not be able to sell them.

I'd buy one, but the big question is mounting for most people. I think the Street Weapon bumpers might be still available, but the XX4 truck body mounts are a nightmare to get. I was lucky to find one.

Has anyone with a truck body mount kit tried fitting just regular race truck bodies to the car? I might have to do some experimenting when the car is finished being built...

The truck and the street weapon mounts are the same. My local hobby shop still has quite a few of them left. I will be picking those up to make them avalible also.

Come on fellas, we need more xx-4 porn on here. WTF? Get those cameras out ya lazy bastids

Here's a short boring vid of my xx-4. I just transplanted the GTB5.5 from my non worlds xx-4 into my freshly built one. I had to go to a parking lot as my street is ice for the next 6 months. The lot was a bit slick. So much so that I had trouble getting the car near the camera. The last run I almost took out my dv cam

I need a camera man. This thing is stoopid fast. Oh, don't mind the url, it's my wifes website. Don't ask

Here you go then. This is actually a WE re-released kit that I put an older solid graphite chassis on. We run our track both wet and dry and when the track is dry it's like running on concrete. (literally ) The thin spots between the battery's on the WE chassis is a weak point if you short one jump. First day out I broke the chassis in two spots at that area. This chassis should be much better for that reason. I opened up the hole in the bottom for the motor so I could run the lowered motor mount.

What would be a good price for an older xx4, lightly used but in need of tires/front shock tower/and body? Guy wants to sell me one but neither of us knows what a fair price is? No electronics. And how hard is it to get parts for one?

Parts for one are easly found since losi recently started reproducing them and also just rereleased 1000 worlds edition xx4. I waould say 75 bucks for what your looking at since lately they have been going for 120-250 on ebay for fairly shaped ones. Take a look for yourself on ebay their are a few on there right now that could give you guys an idea

Chris, what kind of LRP motor is that? Brushless I assume. Also, what kind of battery bars are those? Is that tube thing at the end of the battery bar for some sort of plug that so you can remove the wire if need be?

Thanks, Kevin

I've seen that LRP brushless motor in their main website as their new release, the vector brushless. (3-star). But I saw it on a hongkong online hobbyshop months before. Weird?..
