I just picked up a B6D roller with a 78T gear spur. I have a 17.5t Eco power slingshot motor that is a spare that I will use in this car to get started and a Justock XR10 ESC. What I cant find anywhere is what size pinion to pick up. No manual for the motor and the TA manuals and such discuss common motors and standard kV but nothing where the slingshot motor is (2200 kv). I know 48 is standard for the pinion but does anyone have an idea as to how I can figure out the appropriate pinion size?

The majority of big name motors in my area for racing are running between 25-27 pinion with 72 spur. But you will likely need other spurs (69,75) and other pinions for other scenarios. That's not to say you can't use a 78.. you just need to do the math to figure out an equivalent pinion.

I did as well. Had to shave it for my friends car. My guess is mass production specs are not perfect. My brother used to work are a place that handled some brass production and he said with mass production the measurements slightly are off near the end of the line if the machine isnt tightened routinely.

Is there a chart that states the equivalent ball stud spacing/positions between the stock plastic and aluminum team rear hubs? I’ve searched all over to no avail. The vast majority of carpet set ups show the spacing for the stock plastic hubs and I have the team aluminum versions.

There are 2 available plastic inserts that sit inside the rear hubs. 1/2 and 0/3. The low axle height will locate the hole higher in the hub and vice versa which can be somewhat confusing at first. +3 will have the lowest hole on the insert and hub.

I need help with a steering servo set up issue on my B6. I have watched all the videos and read every tip on the servo installation and none of them address my problem. I am using an Xpert pi3431 servo with the AE team aluminum horn. The car also has the team aluminum bellcranks. After looking at all the car set up pictures I could find it looks like the ball end in the servo horn should be even (front to back) with the ball end in the bellcrank. The issue I’m having is when the servo horn is a 90deg to the servo the bellcrank pa are not centered. The are shifted to the left as if the steering link is too short.

I had similar issues on my b6.1. I thought it was maybe the tooth count on the servo and not being able to cemore it, I ended up quite a lot of sub trim to straighten - this leaves the end points equal.
