Hey guys/gals, got a question regarding ceramic bearings. What are you guys using to clean them with?

Your rear hub camber link (outer) are on upside down, unless of coarse you tuned it that way.

It’s built as per the box stock setup sheet in the back of the box. So it should be correct. Not sure

This setup changes from b6d to b6. There is a recommended position for a certain axle height

The b6 manual has the b6 setup sheet in the back. The b6d has the b6d setup sheet in the back. My car is a b6 and should be built to the spec on the b6 box stock setup in the back of the book. Unless I misunderstood what I was looking at.

I was a bit lost with the +3 on the rear hub insert. I used tab up which is positive on the front ha. If you see something that is off let me know and I will give it a look

Hi,

Take a look a mine on Sunday. It's a fresh kit, but the set-up is the same as what I was running before. Wednesday practice night was the first time running it. It ran really well. So looking forward to the club round on Sunday.

use tab down in the rear to get +3 axle height. Follow this chart

Ah no clue my shocks are the same lol. I am not sure one could tell the differences. Most of the shock building videos I have seen on youtube have little rebound so yeah

Make sure you work all the air out (I use a shock vacuum pump by Ride) and then bleed without the lower spring cup in place.

You still get a little rebound at first but it is not in the operating range when you put the lower spring seat back on.

I normally work my shocks through the full travel a few times before checking rebound, more like how they will be when the car is running.

Is there anyone who can speak to the parts shortages Associated is experiencing? I decided I'd like to buy a laydown conversion for my B6d over a month ago and I still can't get one at my track or online from any of the places I do business with. Asking around, it sounds like lots of things have been in short supply.

I bleed them again after a few runs and zero rebound so I guess all it needed was a few runs :)

My understanding is they are still playing catch up from having to switch suppliers late last year. If you pre-order, you usually receive it within a month or so. That's how it worked out for myself and others trying to get out of stock arms for the RC8B3.

You use tab up in front to add caster and tab down to decrease caster. You use tab up in the rear to decrease axle height and you use tab down to increase axle height. Not exactly like that in the rear because there are 1/2 inserts but i think you get an idea.

Look for a citrus based cleaner like this.

The parts are available individually. While the complete kit is nice, I don't know if the demand is still there.

OK so after using a degreaser like this to clean the ceramic bearings, im assuming your not running water over them to clean them out and get the degreaser out correct?
