Welcome to the SCT410.3 Wiki!

7.26.17 - BB
In order to run the recommended team setup, you need the following optional parts:
TKR6106 Orange LF Springs
TKR6114 Green LF Springs
TKR6018 composite shock caps (built to emulsion) OR TKR8702 Aluminum Emulsion Shock caps
TKR8027 Shock Stand Offs
TKR6051 8x1.3 pistons(drilled to 1.4mm)
TKR8104 .4 bellcranks
TKR8100 .4 ackerman
TKR5545B HRC Hubs
You also need the Aluminum C Block (others can stay composite)

What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit?
None are required but we recommend the following:

TKR5161 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “A” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5163 – V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace “C” block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5545B – HRC Rear Hubs (L/R, CV or uni, SCT.3/SL) - Improves stability of the rear on mid to corner exit. Allows harder acceleration on corner exit.

TKR6146 - CNC Delrin Shock Cartridge Set

TiNi Shock Shafts
-TKR6004T (front)
-TKR6017T (rear)

What spare parts should I keep on hand?
TKR5020 – Hinge Pins (inner, front/rear)
TKR5516 – Front Suspension Arms and TKR5515 – Rear Suspension Arms
TKR5542 – Spindle Carriers - TKR5541B Spindles
TKR6009 – Shock O-Ring and Bladder Set (for 2 shocks)

Tips and Tricks

List of Vehicle Setup Adjustments and Build Tips can be found here. There are several videos and articles detailing the building of shocks, diffs, camber links, etc.

Use steering stops/limiter washers... more info here.

Setup Sheets:
Setup sheets for all Tekno RC vehicles can be found here. Please be sure to try our recommended setup. It works very well on most tracks.

Hinge Pin Insert Chart:

Warranty Policy:
Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on their website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered!

Piston Drills:
Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following:
GMK Supply Piston Drill Set
16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

Will do, thanks. On that note I am running Hot Boddies blue springs on the front which are basically the same rate as the Tekno pink fronts but a couple MM shorter. For some reason with Tekno front springs on the truck and my SL I can not get proper ride height and the truck is not good at all sitting at 28-30 MM up front. Think I'll shave the collars and try some Tekno greens up front next.

What firmware are you running orion r10.1? I was running MOD firmware with orion motor 550 4.5T 2 pole it seems great in large outdoor track. Now i might try with latest STOCK firmware how can compare with MOD firmware.

For the guys still having some nose down issues, can you please list the motor/pinion combo you're currently running? I think some people (not all) may simply be undergeared.

I don't have a 410.3, just the original 410 but I have had nose down issues. I run a Tekin Pro4HD 4300 with an 18t pinion.

I'm sure this is true for some, my gearing is good. Its a issue that I believe I can fix with a setup change. I need to get the green springs back on the front and figure out how to get proper ride height with them on it hence my post earlier about shaving the collars down thin. I love the new truck and SL buggy, they are well built rigs and have steering like no other but honestly the springs that come in the kit and the ones from Tekno that you can buy do not work with the new towers/geometry, springs are too long. I have read all the "compress them before installing" and "they will settle in after a few runs". I try'd it all thinking I was missing something simple but it isn't me its the springs. We need shorter springs with the proper rates for the .3 and the SL IMO.

It has been removed completely from the Tekno site. Only way to access it now is to either be a Tekno driver, or gotten the link when it was first posted.

It is still in the development state. Its simply not complete.

I had a similar issue, and one thing I did to correct it is to use the bigger 6 hole pistons. It seems to allow you to run a heavier oil, but you will feel like a lighter oil on the slow and smooth sections. Gives more pack on the larger jumps due to the heavier oil.

Any designed to fit the LOSI SCTE are direct fit. Rims designed for the AE SC10 will fit as well, but the +3 option may put you past the legal width.

this surprisingly helped my setup a lot. i went from a 4000kva motor to a 4700kva motor and it suited my driving style much better and eliminated my nose diving issues.

I run the +3 Borrego wheels, and they put you approx 1/2" wider than the rules state. I already had them, bc my previous truck was an SC10 4x4 turd bucket so I just kept them. Besides that, the wheels fold on hard cornering and the inner ribbing rubs on the rear A Arm. And wears it out eventually on the very outer tip of the arm.

I just bought the new +3mm DE Speedline wheels. I'm hoping they do not rub. The Borregos are awesome wheels, just the rubbing issue is the only gripe. I have like 6 sets, they're a great wheel.

With that being said, if the +3 rub. I can only image the stock SCTE offset will rub even worse being that they are 3mm closer. I have noticed the AKA wheels have no ribbing at all on the inside. It seems like all the wheels flex, but keep an eye on the outer edge of the rear Arms... If they are worn flat. Then your wheels are rubbing.

My buddy raced the ROAR E nationals in PA, and he runs STOCK offset SCTE wheels and still couldn't pass the ROAR width test. The Rear toe IN was causing him to fail. He actually had to dremel the rear axle stub shaft ends to finally pass after 8 attempts. Crazy. Their rules are ridiculous from what I hear.
