When people do a "t6", they use a B6 transmission. Those require drilling holes, and a little sanding to the bottom of the transmission. They use B6 "C" and "D" blocks.
As I understand it, Shapeways is a place people can sale their 3D items, printed by Shapeways. Maybe you got something different than I have or have seen?

Shapeways Laydown
I have Shapeways laydowns in my SC5M and T5m. Both bolt right up to my chassis in the stock locations. I don't run a waterfall. So only the 4 bolts in the back.

Unless you are unhappy with turning characteristics, I'd leave the diff as is and either:
- loosen the slipper a bit
- increase anti-squat
- stiffen the rear suspension (smaller piston holes/thicker oil/stiffer springs)
- move the weight bias towards the front
- reduce acceleration on the ESC
- or simply adjust your trigger finger if the truck is fine everywhere else

My new to me Exotek XT6 - truck looks to be in great shape and everything is tight (plastics) and free (bearings). I was going to do a rebuild (new arms, hubs, bearings, etc..), as I will do when I get a used car but this one seems like it was recently built.
Anyway, here are a few pics - I hate I had to come to work today, but the electronics will be going in the truck tonight.

Keep an eye on the link between the servo horn and the bell crank. I had to use the T5M ballstuds and link. Just a light brush with pipe or a wall and the smaller B6 link would pop off. I used brand new link.

One more thing, Watch for binding if/when you make the switch to the T5M link. My Vision tower/B6 chassis with the T5M link did not bind any. My Exotek chassis with the T5M link did rub. For some reason the link rubbed on the bell crank at full steer both directions. I just filed down the link enough to stop it from rubbing.

Thanks man, good to know. I'll go over it well once I get the electronics in it. I will say, looking at this truck (of course with the B6 laydown tranny, and all the other goodies you get) I may hold off on getting the T6.1 for a little while. You know, give this one a shot - besides, I'm just getting back into R/C off-road anyway and it's not like my driving is there yet.
I'm sure I'll cave and get a T6.1, but don't really see the urgency with this truck in hand. I have 2 T5M's that I can move on once I get this beaut on the track and may just sock that money back for the new truck... or not. Thanks again for the tips!!

You are welcome for the tips. My Exotek works really well. I am keeping mine for awhile also. Good luck and have fun.

Anyone know of anywhere these are on a closeout for a big discount with the T6.1 coming out?
