T5M arms discontinued?
I just tried to order front arms from Amain (ASC71009 or ASC71009) and it says 'Discontinued Online' (not out-of-stock). Has anyone else had problems getting arms from their LHS? Have to convert to T6.1 parts?

The trophy rat and Pro SC10 and a couple other RTR trucks use the T5M front A arms, so they are not going any where soon. I would as wager as soon as the T4.3 stock gets low you will see a T5 RTR stadium truck.

Hi guys
First time poster, please be gentle.
Here's the deal:
Re-furbishing a second hand T5M. Mostly straightforward but I have one small issue with the slipper clutch.
In the manual it shows the clutch with one friction plate either side of the spur gear. At the back of the manual under 'motor gearing' it shows a clutch with two plates on the outside held by a cover plate looking very like a pressure plate on a full size clutch.
Needless to say, the one I have is different from both:
So, do I have an upgrade, a later spec part, or something else?
More important, have I assembled it correctly?
Thanks
Jeff
Oh dear. I did try to add a couple of photos, but according to the forum I can't do that until I have a certain number of posts. Doesn't tell me how many posts !!!!!
Anyway, a picture is worth a thousand words, so here's a thousand words:
Looks like a cage with two friction plates, and I'm assuming a metal plate in between. The plates are held in by a plastic frame, with four tabs which clip over the plates.
I have assembled it in this order:
From gearbox side:
Metal plate
Friction plate
Spur gear
Cage with two plates
Metal plate
Spring + Nut
Meanwhile, if somebody would oblige me with the number of posts before I can attach photos, would be most grateful.

RC10GT body?
Here's a shot out of left field:
Does anybody here have a first gen RC10GT and a T5M? I've seen some RC10GTs use T5M bodies and they seem to fit beautifully. I'm wondering if the reverse is true. I have a T5M and I'm not really impressed with the bodies that are available. I'd really like to put an RC10GT body on the truck, but before I drop $40 on one, I'm hoping that just maybe somebody here has a GT body that they can try out on their T5M to see whether it's a possibility.
If somebody here has one and is willing to try it, I'd appreciate it a ton!

My son, bent the stock front turnbuckles on his first practice day. Does anyone make heavy duty turnbuckles for the t5m?

T5M Rear Shock Tower Discontinued
Looks like Associated discontinued the T5M rear shock tower. What are the options now? Any others that will work? Want to make this platform work instead of upgrading to a T6.1 right now.

My roommate and I are in the process of putting the B6.1 laydown transmission onto the T5M chassis. This is to be able to run the T6.1 rear tower on the T5M.
He has already figured out what is needed to convert the suspension to the T6.1. I can try and get a list of what is needed to do all of the converting.

I´m An Associted Fan Boy since almost 30 years, but why in the hell do they stop making parts for last generation cars? As I have a fully hopped up t5m with laydown I´m also refusing to buy a t6.1
