I would think maintly for indoor tracks with it being extended .

On outdoor tracks not sure how the extended chassis would do on loose dry dirt tracks.

With my non pro skill level id use it on any track. You can still add top plates as needed to stiffen up for different style tracks.

I'll see how it is here as the track will be loose and I am thining dry unless they run with watering which I am not too big of a fan of as then its mud bowl out here and that stuff sticks like crazy.

will be doing 13.5 spec style running here.

I agree with this, car is more stable, keeps from going over much better with the heavier chassis.

I have three of these cars, one is stock chassis, the other two run the Exotec. I have compared back to back on a tight, technical, indoor, medium grip track many times. The Exotec chassis cars are more consistent, stable, and easier to drive.

Do you know which top plates are the correct length for the Exotec Chassis?

No I don't know which one. I did not check. Easy to make one I just cut my stock carbon chassis for top plates if needed.

I do have a schelle 4mm graphite chassis conversion here, I'll see about trying to top plate on the exotek chassis to confirm length probably this weekend.

I have that chassis to. I could not remember if it was +3 or +4 mm. Exotek look longer than schelle. My red orange car is exotek and yellow one schelle.

I measured the stock, and Exotec lengths. Rear bulkhead to rear of the center diff cap mounting holes measures 93mm stock, 95mm Exotec. Front diff cap mounting holes to steering post measures 60mm stock, 61mm Exotec. This surprised me as the Exotec is advertised to be +4mm. I don't think the Schelle will work as it's +4mm, and since only the front top plate is included, I would think it's 4mm longer than stock.

Thanks for the top plate info. I ran both my cars last night.both cars are almost exact except chassis. I hate to say but I liked my schelle chassis car better last night. In gonna add a front top plate to exotek and see if I like it better that way. I won't give up on her I really like the layout of the exotek. Just thought I share my personal feeling. 😀

Car is working really well in the 13.5 class. Durability, traction, and speed all checked off. I run the Schelle +4 graphite chassis and love it. Car accelerates just as well as anything else and all that's needed now is some suspension tuning to get it just right in the sweepers. There's a 22-4 out here killing everyone and I watched his car closely and feel my change I ran out of time to try was the right direction to go.

My indoor carpet setup. It was a spec tire/sauce event so it was interesting to try those out versus a pin style carpet tire.

we are limited here currently to just non-carpet pin tires, so primes and similar tires are used.

For me I liked the feel of the 1million oil in the center since we don't have a slipper option. I'll give you setupa printout and review. I also liked the 3 hole 1.3 piston a lot as well. Also allowed shock oils in more normal ranges that I have here.

I would definitely have liked to try 1mil. I felt the 300k was a little soft for the demands of carpet. As for why I ran 2hole vs 3hole; I was looking for a high amount of pack. The jumps were steep and sharp with very little downside space; so if overshot you are looking at some serious flat landings.
