The rears screwed right on. The fronts needed the threads cleaned to get the caps to screw on easily. Must of had excessive coating build up in the threads. I will try and get some pics tomorrow. You will need 4 cap head screws also. Not sure on the length because I just cut the excess off at the nut.

first full raceday with d413. between a fast paced raceday, racing multiple classes and talking i did not get the change to make any setup changes. took 2nd out of 4. 1st ran away though and lapped me.

i will be making changes to front springs and a little change in weight balance and try again next week. sure is nice to be thinking about setup changes instead of fixing the car a couple times a day like i did the durango.

i couple small notes. i did have some oil seapage at the top of one shock with the b5 caps. so i put the durango shock O-rings in hopes that it provides a better seal.

On the front page it says you can use yokomo wheels. i tried them on front. they work...but you have to either dremel the wheels a bit so the hex is not so deep or shim the wheel a bit. or the wheel will bind on the carrier. i would just not use them if i had to do it again.

Default Interchangeable wheels for d413

What car brand makes a replacement wheel that will fit this buggy.
Is it only hot bodies?

DE racing 22-4 wheels fit nice, are of good quality and are cheap. win, win, win.

I've found Losi steel pinion gears to mesh the best with stock spur.

Well finally got to race my 413 this past weekend for our Indoor season opener. WOW, this buggy is fun to drive. This is my first venture into anything 1/10 buggy related and was pleased with how easily the car felt to drive and each qual I tried pushing a little harder and was able to knock off 3-4secs each round.

We had 8 buggys with some great competition for the opener, I ended up sitting 5th on the Amain grid. I was able to move up to 2nd a few laps in, but made a bobble, dropped down to 6th, but climbed back up to finish 4th. I'll take that for first day out with it.

I had a couple of the fast guys drive it after racing and they liked it and just recommended I change out the Front diff oil, currently running 10-100-3, so most of them recommended going to 7-100-3 and see how that goes.

During practice session in the morning I only had one break and was rear outer ball cup, I landed sideways and a Corr truck landed on me at same time.

when you replace the spur. replace the two button head screws that clamp the motor mount in place with socket(cap) head screws and use tread lock. this will allow you to put a lot more torque on them giving you security.

Also make sure you thread lock the little counter sunk screws that hold the mount to the end of the motor. If these vibrate loose the motor will vibrate loose and strip the spur.
