I just got off of the phone with Tower, I told them there were 2 people's order numbers that were well after mine and their order date well after mine also, and their status was picked and ready to ship! NOW THAT IS B $#!+
then she said it depends on where they live also! After this buggy comes in (if it ever does)
I'm boycotting Tower!

New motor came today for the car, now just waiting for the 13mm rotor in a different delivery. Motor is Reedy Sonic 2 in 5.5t, standard rotor is 12.5mm. Using the 13mm rotor should allow me to start with a 25t pinion and work from there. A close friend claims he has never had heating issues with the Reedy motors and he uses everything eventually.

Unless the track has a 200 ft. straight I would start closer to a 21 or 22t pinion.

This happened to me with the Tekno releases and is why I boycot tower already. Unfortunately, tower (well, GP which is the same company) is the sole North American distributor of HB/HPI, so...that's why I haven't gotten this yet, and I'm not sure I will thanks to how badly they screwed over hobby shops with this release.

Last edited by justpoet; 05-21-2014 at 03:35 PM. Reason: Clarified who they sole distribute.

That's why the 13mm rotor to reduce rpm and increase torque hence the bigger pinion. But yes SDRC track is quite large.
