I did a few setup passes with my vehicle equipped with the Tekin 1900Kv motor I pulled from my Buggy (using the Tekin 1700kv in that to try out on 4S) and it has tons of power. Weather up here will be cool so don't expect any heat issues this saturday. Will be running with the truggies so will see how far the 7200mah lipos I got will take me for the 20 minute main. |
Cool thanks for the heads up.

I raced at LiveRC in Green Bay WI, for the Midwest Nitro series this past weekend, running an RX8 Gen2 and T8-2000kv motor and SMC 6500mAh 4s. I had never tested my runtime at a race pace before so I was a little concerned that I would make the whole 20 min main. So I had a friend turn my truck on check me in and turn it back off while the nitros were in there warm up time, then turn it back on and lined up for the race. I made the 20 min and checked voltage after the race and all 4 cells were at 3.75v. Ended up taking 2nd in Intermediate Truggy A-main.

Here is a couple pics of my ET-48 at the Midwest nitro series race this past weekend. my body had cracked completely in half at the bottom of the windshield so I used some zip ties to reconnect the 2 pieces.

hopefully tekno can look into a thicker pull on the body if possible, or something beefed up more. That would be a nice fix.

It looks like a fun hairdo over the top of the smiling grill/lights. I like it!

almost forgot to post a race update on the ET48.
last race of the season for PRCP and had a big turnout for truggy, was the largest class. Only electric on here. First time out with the vehicle, I used this setup with a few modifications: http://www.teknorc.com/tekno5/wp-con...MediumBite.pdf from what I recall, I made changes to this effect: - Losi oil, 50W front, 40W rear - 4.5 degrees rear toe in - 10K center weight (10-10-5) powerplant selection was a Tekin 1900Kv buggy motor and IP 7200mah lipos in series. I was initially going to try 5000mah 4S first but decided I wanted consistency on what I was going to run in the 20 minute main if I made it that far. During testing I noticed the vehicle had push to it. it was however planted in the rear end which is where I wanted to start. I went ahead and tried it out during the first heat to see how it went. Went well outside of the push issue, very easy to drive. A bit of front wheel diffing out towards the end of the long straight but overall was good. For the loose conditions though, it was something good so far. I decided to adjust the rear toe down to 4 degrees and went with that. I had better rotation, ,and of course figured out that my EPA was set wrong so my wheel to wheel lock was off. I still felt even with this change I could have a bit better rotation. So by the main I had gone down to 3.5 degrees toe and a tire change as the conditions were drying out fast. unfortunately I didn't bring my grid irons with which would have probably been ideal, so only had some impacts that ideally would have been in a super soft compound versus soft. I managed to make about 19 minutes with the vehicle pushing it hard before tripping cutoff. Considering my driving style is more on power, something that I do with all my tekno vehicles which seems to help with keeping the rear behind the front, I was not too surprised. I did simulate 2 pits as well. All in all, I was quite impressed with the ET48. It is probably the BEST handling of my vehicles. No, scratch that, it is the best handling of my vehicles. And no heat issues on the motor, loads of power and very driveable. I think some things I may look into: - 12K center diff - Slightly Lighter Springs and oil Other than that, I can't really think of anything too much to really change. I really wish it wasn't the end of the season for the track I went too, but I'll find something to do with the vehicle lol. |

Hello everyone , Az here. I just built my ET to run @ Fear Farm. It has stock set-up Tekin Rx8/2250 combo , 15t pinion and a Savox HV. Any suggestions on set up? My front shocks seem to be leaking, any thoughts?
