Default notchy feel

Anyone ever experience what feels like gear bind in the V2 mid motor tranny cases? I built the car and ran it one race day then tore it down to do maintenance and free it up. I noticed some bind. I went through every scenario and it seams that between the top shaft gear and the first idler there is something going on. I built it in the rear case and no bind... I even ordered a new case and still same thing. I have tried new topshaft, 2 new idlers, and different bearings. It spins free from bottom up. (diff gear and idlers) but I'm clueless now.
bad run of cases? Any input.

Take your body reamer and ream out the holes in the idler gears. I'm not exactly sure where the bind comes from but doing this helps free up the transmission a ton. Maybe that's what you are feeling.

I'm not sure if the V3 is indeed in stock or not but the spike in price I imagine is indicative of such. Perhaps the preorders were sufficient enough that they felt they would stand to profit more with the price hike.

The problem lies in that there are other kids strikingly similar to this one that offer a bunch of aluminum parts that would otherwise be upgrades with this kit for a few dollars more.

Some things at hobby program priced just right and others are certainly overpriced, like for example the SB 401 lid $34 and not even window masks are included. some things at hobby program priced just right and others nerves certainly overpriced, like for example the SB 401 lid $34 and not even window masks are included. PRS1 rear hubs are a tad bit pricy, and Hobby Pro wheels cost double what most of the wheels cos than most other wheels and they're really nothing special other than having a smaller diameter hole which fits both the Hobby Pro & Kyosho cars perfectly.

Couple that with overpromising and under delivering in some instances flat out deception and it can spell trouble for fledgling brands such as precipitate/Hobby Pro US couple that with overpromising and under delivering in some instances flat out deception and it can spell trouble for fledgling brands such as PR/HP.
