Anyone have any suggestions for a cheap-ish esc/motor combo?
Anyone feel like bragging about their setup to inspire some ideas?

My old hobbywing setup just decided to stop working last night on my first track night with the 3.0 :/ At least I got a good night of running. (Throttle just stopped responding entirely).

I see amain has a Castle Creations 2200 Kv combo for $187... thoughts?

Trying to troubleshoot the problem but I'm a newb.

Toro/Sky RC makes a better then decent setup for a new b racer. 140.00 on ebay

Try using the Kyosho gel tape under the speedo.

I just finished the toward battery mod but i do not have a body for it yet so I don't know what body I need so it fits nicely.

I would prefer to get a body by Proline or J Concepts first before I get the body that originally came with the 3.0.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a cool body shape that needs to fit with the forward battery mod?
Advice please!
And pictures of that body on your 3.0 would be even better!

Get the tlr 8ight-e 3.0 cab forward body it is the best fitting and best handling.

Why don't you troubleshoot what stopped working and replace it? (That way it would be much cheaper)

I also did the battery forward mod and I finally got rid of the understeering. It made a huge difference but now the rear end is very very loose and has way too much oversteering. It got way harder to control and has less traction when accelerating. So far I pretty much ran the softest spring set up, really low roll center,... on astro turf.

Should I use harder springs in the front and/or raise the roll center? Would that be any help?

Guys, am I a fool to buy a whole another kit for spare parts. Wondering if I should waste $400, or instead get a backup ESC and motor, or maybe just ESC and a servo?

I'm a light basher.

DO NOT DO THAT!!! It is a huge waste of money because you won't use 90% of the parts these things r so durable
