I love the Phantom body. I hope they make an ebuggy version so I don't have to add foam to fill the gap.

Agreed. I have spent almost as much time admiring mine on it's stand as I have driving it on the track.

I did something similar but instead or making my own plate, I used a Tekno V4 ESC tray. I reduced the height of mounting pads so the RX8 fit under the body with just a little taken off a corner of the case.

I had to Open up the vent for the esc to clear the height, Not very much at all to be honest. As far as the "B" plate is concerned, Its a Tight fit but Will go Without modifying.

What seems to be the gearing most are running? My setup is a Tekin gen 2 1900kv. Med-large tracks. any help would be great thanks. Im asking because for example Drake standard is 16/45 and Maifield seems to be running like 13/45?

Thank you for your answer.
My personnal way to fix esc consist in some Velcro, but not Velcro tape.
I glue classic Velcro with cyanocrylate, but I don't want to glue directly on the esc. So I have to place a CF plate on the chassis plate, and an other CF plate under the esc.
Not so easy with the original body, but it's done.
Today, I'm looking at the front arms, with their bad aligned holes !

The difference here is that Maifield runs the Orion equipment which is different than the Tekin stuff. They like a different gear.

Honestly I think double sided tape works fine as long as it's installed correctly and on a clean surface. It also dampers any vibrations. Haven't had one come off yet.

I dont have enough fingers to count How many time's ive seen a Floppy Esc in the pits or coming off the track. Ill stick to my Mod and Never have to think about it. Plus if I need to Clean my chassis i can Unbolt Everything and take it to the sink if need be.

So can I and just a new piece of double sided tape. Just saying my way works too. And my esc is floppy at all.

Big Flat head screw driver and a bunch of cursing VS a 2mm Driver and 4 screws.
