Nice! I've always been a Tekin guy in 1/8 scale. How does this match up to the RX8 Gen 2 IYO? Tuning, performance,feel/response, etc...? Considering possibly you've never owned one... What have you researched or heard?

It looks solid and with the optional sensor port you have that option for wiring. Programming box is costly and you have to power down every time you change each profile step. (unless they have changed that on the box?). No question they are a quality product.
I will stick with the Tekin. More power easier to program no external caps and the switch is not the program button. And 90 dollars cheaper.

you may want to pop the seal on remaining bearings to insure there is in fact grease in them.
dont use the supplied shock oils

- Front hinge pins,
- Front shock shafts (maybe also for rear),
- Spare front and rear suspension arms,
- Rear hub carriers, if you do not upgrade to the alu part,
- A complete set of bearings in case you have one failing,
And last, but not least, get the 45T metal spur gear to replace the 43T plastic spur gear. This would maybe even be a first priority.
Or maybe just bring happy and joy to your LHS, go buy a complete kit as a spare
