Yokomo is also convertible

And handles very well. I've been watching a couple Yokomos that race at OCRC and they look pretty dialed. If you're looking for a convertible, that's where I'd look.

If you want a dedicated RM, well let's see . . . :).

Seriously so many good cars, a lot has to do with driving style. Lately I've decided to race my Team C just because it's so much easier to drive than my AE, but my AE is great- don't get me wrong. I've recently owned the RB5 SP2, Dex210, and now own a 4.2 and Team C EVO. I kept the latter two for a reason.

You should! I didn't think it would make a huge difference either. I was completely wrong. Removing the rear ball stud washers combined with decreasing the shock oil (40>35), made the rear end of the car FAR more predictable. Still a little bouncy on some of the sections coming out of the corners, but the track has been neglected since the last rain (last saturday).

I just wish there were more detailed guides on what changes do what.

I reference this quite a bit. It's an old page, because it talks about using stiffer brushes (brush springs) on your motor!!! LOL!! - that part is at the very bottom of the page.

I have it bookmarked on my phone, so when I'm at the track and need to figure something out, I can pull it up on my phone.

That is some good info! It's nice because it's more specific to the B4 buggies. I've been on the petitrc site numerous times, but never looked at this info - good stuff!!! I will definitely bookmark that one as well!!!

Hey guys!! What is the part number for the J Concepts ball cups that have the hole in them? I looked for them on Amain, but didn't see them.

I have the RPM ball cups now. I really don't want to keep popping those ball cups off to make ball stud adjustments. The RPM cups are tough, but if I keep popping them off and stretching them out, they're going to be no better than the stock AE cups.

you can also try drilling a hole in a new set of RPM ball cups if you like them so much. I have done this and seen others do it, it works well, just make sure you use a drill bit larger than 5/64"

Speed Freak RC 12-28-2013 07:27 PM

Yep I have drilled out my RPM cups and haven't had any issues with them.
