Cactus should be AWSOME this year. Go Cart track, bar and grill and indoor clay racing. The owner was saying that the dirt he is bringing in from CA is the best he has ever seen. Tacky but does not stick to your shoes. He seems to think a set of tires will last months on this dirt. I really want to go, but my wife's schedule will dictate my participation.

Isn't it still at SRS/Hobbytown right there by the ASU campus?

That's awesome, found this gem the other day from my last visit.

Or no longer "Pudge". And good lord, my paintjob was so hacked up and my sticker placement needed work. Those were the days before custom stickers though.

He ran with dakota at stateline a few months ago and was only a lap down if that so I think the skill set of said racers may not be thr skill set of our local guys because he flogs our local guys including me I norm finish in top 3 but ya anyhow it depends on the track too I heard thr sc10 was good for a tight tech. Track which we dont have many of around here I believe they are refered to as a California track. Wr have open flowing 12 foot lanes with large turns and such a typical outdoor track

His lap times are slower with the truck than mod buggy? Umm, thats kinda backwards. Most everyone I know is faster with 4x4 sc than mod buggy. Even the sponsored guys.

The Losi scte 2.0 and tekno are very good on tight tracks. The sc10 4x4 is a very niche truck. On certain tracks (high bite), it works pretty good. But the belt drive terrain just have toooo much resistance and on looser tracks causes problems. Plus its just too light for loose outdoor windy tracks. That and if you notice, most of the used trucks in the for sale section include the servo, because taking it out, sucks, lol. The truck is not very easy to work on.

Where?

For 1/10 at my home track indoor clay its:
1. 4x4 Mod Buggy 26 laps
2. 2WD Mod Buggy 25 laps
3. 4x4 Short Course 24 laps

@TRCR all three finish on the same lap...

2wBug & 4x4 bug bring the faster overall time .

But we have some of the fastest Sc4x4 around anywhere...

lol, on tracks that are not 13 second laps, lol. Our lap times around 20-24 seconds indoor and 26 seconds outdoors. If you are running on a very tight indoor medium to high bite track, the sc10 4x4 is ok. I race outdoor with the wind. We had a couple of brothers here locally, both pretty fast. One is sponsored by tlr. The other runs AE stuff normally. One night the TLR brother tried to run the sc10 4x4 his brother had and it was comical. Swapping ends in the corners and he was just all over the place. So I asked him after the race how he liked the sc10 4x4, he looked at me and said that was the biggest piece of crap he has ever driver. Very hard to drive. I love AE, always have. I bought mine, because I was returning to racing and wanted to try sc 4x4. Without even doing research, I bought the truck because AE made it. I tried for a year to make it decent. Never could. I picked up the tlr truck and was instantly 2-3 laps faster (34 second laps) without even tuning the tlr truck. Sorry, I like AE and all, but I am not blind. And I was about the same speed with 4x4 as buggy. Mostly because I drive a 4x4 like a buggy. I dont really do the full trigger pull throw it into the corner and punch it out style were well. Anyway, we are so bored talking about the b4 we are now onto the sc10 4x4, lol. man, we need a new AE buggy to liven up this thread.
