I'm just saying that mine still works normally. I tested it on my street after it happened and I can drive 2 city blocks no problem. Any further and I'll crash it into something.
It is sheared off at the case and has been like this for 3 months problem free

You were dumb for saying that.....

Anyhow, lets get back to something that isn't on the topic of people being dumb for what they say because we all do it. So I tested out the new too shaft. Stock one is 10g and the mip one is 4g... thats a 150% weight loss in rotating mass. I beleive it cooled my motor temp by about 10 deg or so. Which is eggcelent (pun intended). Also seemed to be a bit faster out of the corners. My buggy without a body including the wing is 1582g how much are you guys? I run the rear ballast weight and 7g in each rear triangle, i also added dubro ends (about 15g), but well worth it i run the full pack.

Just rambling...I think it would be fun to do a blind drive test. All this talk about shaving a few grams. On an off road track I would bet that not one of us amateurs could tell the difference in a 6 gram decrease in top shaft. Yes it is great for the hobby because people spend lots of money on these upgrades but I just think unless you can run a perfect lap for 6 minutes straight there is no way in hell even 100 grams makes a difference.

Like I said, just would be fun to do a blind test with like 5 drivers and 5 different cars all set up the exact same way just adjusting weight.

Ok carry on.

well i can tell when i add or subtract 7g of weight on the buggy so... ya but like i said the top shaft reduced my motor temp i race onroad carpet so maybe offroad i cant tell i dont know yet... :) I was running about 145 ish and i wanted to be a bit cooler i enjoy the tweeking aspect of racing thats why i do what i do. Some people just enjoy the racing i enjoy both aspects equally that is all

also not arguing his quality im sure its good im just saying what mine did, i personally like a chassis with a bit more roll than the stock one.

Cooler is good. I was not challenging I just thought it would be fun to do. The modding, hopping up, tinkering and adjusting are all part of the fun. I just think that with off road and the bumps, bobbles and imperfections it is very hard to drive a perfect lap like you can in on road. I just don't think many of us mere mortals would see that small of a difference and if blind folded not knowing what car was on the track, I don't think many would know the difference.

Please don't think I was offending you or challenging you. I just thought it would be fun to do, that's all.

I'm talking futaba receivers here also.

For all of my Futaba recievers I remove the antenna by unplugging it from the board. I have not had any glitching (where spectrum does on a few spots on our track with the antenna installed)

So it all depends on the internals of that receiver

True to an extent. 6 grams of rotating mass like a top shaft can be the difference of a win or not. REGARDLESS of skill level. If you and me have identical cars, exiting the final turn to the straight away on the last lap, both with perfect traction, and I have 6g less rotating mass I will eclipse you buy about .03-.06 secs because I have the ability to accelerate faster. It's physics.

BUT I do agree that for most club racers it is not a noticeable change, as far as pure performance goes.

I've been running the chassis braces for a few races now on high grip clay 17.5 class. I'm not the fastest guy but consistently on or near the podium with 10-16 racers. I run the Cavalieri Top Gear Hobbies Spring Shootout setup but with the esc in the tray and carbon arms all around.

As long as my tires are right and the track is decently maintained (has been so lately) the car is more predictable and faster than ever in the infield, and dialed on the sweeper. I can't say that this is because of the chassis braces exclusively, but I'm not taking them out.

I did Topshaft, slipper and aluminum pinion all at the same time. It was noticeably faster.

But I agree with your statement. Most drivers will lose the race from wrecking 12 times rather then not having an aluminum top shaft.

Other guys have them, don't wreck and win.
