[QUOTE=rc car guy;12658392]Well im not sure what kind of carpet you have outdoor and i gaurentee since its outdoor it doesnt have as much traction as the indoor track i run at, rear motor and the rear motor cars have beaten up on the mid motor cars atm, the one guy is right with us but he is a sponsored driver bet he'd go faster with one of our cars rear motor im with u guys on the new car the b4.3 or b5 would be

Its gotta enough so the tire pins can really bite in and it feels like velcro honsetly.

With the new pro line tires it sounds like velcro in the runs im not even kidding. Mid motors are awesome on carpet it feels just like a wheeler.

Been researching the Centro kit, is it true that it's only direct from AE or from Amain?? If that's the case then I think it truly is a temporary solution, because you can't sell what you don't have on the shelf - and if the Centro was the long-term solution AE would certainly push it out to every possible dealer to get as much coverage as possible. Seems like they are playing it conservatively with their marketing strategy, which makes me think there may be a new car soon. I understand why some don't like the term "band aid" as the Centro does perform well, but in any case it looks like the Centro is simply buying AE some time.

I do not pretend to know anything. It really is just my opinion. I FEEL that it was a bandaid because they did not have a competitive car coming into the Worlds. Everyone else had a MM option and AE did not. You can't have a couple of the top drivers in the world not be competitive so "it feels" like they scrambled to find a company to help them with a MM option.

Like others have said also I do not think AE would ever sell something that comes in 2 separate boxes. Having said that if the top guys really like the Centro then maybe AE does some sort of deal with them but they are not going to sell it as a Centro, it will be named something.

AGAIN THIS IS MY OPINION and an uneducated one at that so there is no reason to starting yelling at me. You might hurt my feelings.

Cliff Lett stated before the worlds that the centro would "buy" them some time. That being said, they appear to be supporting the car with option parts and seem to be giving it some amount of effort. I am uncertain yet as to how long the bandaid would be for. If you dont see them prototyping a new car in the next 6-8 months, you wont see a car for a few years. They might just decide to "make the centro their own" by personalizing it with option parts. The way they are bundling it with the b4 really makes me wonder. In their minds, you can run the car in rm or mm with the bundle and there is no really need for a "new" car because the b4 rm does well on the lower bite tracks and the centro is winning on the higher bite tracks.

I'm sorry if I made it sound like I was disagreeing with you, I was trying to support what you said and add another wrinkle to the argument. I basically agree with your observations. My guesses are uneducated and I do this strictly for fun. It's all good!!

Hideeho
Looking at AE's history (bj4-b44), it wouldn't surprise me if AE bought the rights to the c4.2, put their own twist on it & released it as the rc10b5m (or what ever...) & came out with a rc10b5r (or what ever...). I don't expect to see much earth shattering stuff, but new towers & arms that actually work with bb shocks, revised geometry (steering, camber, caster, arms, etc), (hopefully) pills to adjust arm mounts, & (here comes the earth shattering) either an aluminum or carbon fiber chassis (putting on flame retardent underware now)! I don't think this will happen till next fall though, again looking at their release of new stuff in 2nd 1/2 of the year.

I do think AE is going to anounce a new version of the rc8.2b (rc8.3b?) in the next few months, just in time for worlds...

Or AE could be bought out by another company & all bets are off about what comes out or when

Hmmmmm--you sure 'bout that?? "Feel" is subjective......On the XFactory thread guys are having to add weight to hit minimum (1500). This is also consistent with what XFactory clams on their website......

At all? Really?

My previous B4.2 weighed ~1550g.

If you can't read the numbers below, they equal 1531.1g. How much does your B4.2 weigh?

Edit: So there's not any confusion, I never check weights with bodies. The Xfactory body weighs 40g dead with paint.
