the tapered piston, the taper goes towards the bottom of the shocks right?

also what would be a baseline oil I was thinking about running 1.4x3 tapered in the front and 1.6 flat machined pistons in the rear. Med size track pretty smooth clay type surface

I've seen people use anywhere from 27.5 to 35. You could probably start at 30 and see how it feels?

Chris
Chris is right here. The O-rings I mentioned previously work great in V2 shocks, but I read subsequently Associated did not carry the same size forward. I will correct my prior post! Make sure to follow-up post if they work out OK.

Hey guys just ordered by b4.2/centro combo on amain. Great deal by the way... Anyways old my tlr 22 2.0 I had for a week. Do the tlr wheels fit the B4.2?

I assume everyone heard about the combo? $325+ shipping after $25off code, get both b4.2 and centroc4.2 as one. That's almost $100 cheaper than separately.

What pinion do i need for 17.5 blinky? Med indoor carpet track

The rears will work, but not the fronts.

Well that all depends on track layout but a good baseline (at least for me) is start off with a 75 (76 if using stock avid triad slipper) spur and a 28 tooth pinion. I think its a great balance between speed and torque. I wouldnt recommend any spur smaller than 72 or a pinion larger than a 32 tooth. anything more will bog the motor too much and the performance will really lack. not to mention your motor temps will be astronomical. I used to run 69/33 but now i run 76/29 and its dramatically better. Youre gonna have to mess with gearing til you figure it out for your track but 75(76)/28 is where I would start.

On Amain I'm seeing $369.99 -$25 coupon for purchases over $250 = $345 and no free shipping. CALSEP2513. What am I missing?

There has been a lot of talk about that mip puck 17.5 system? Does it offer an advantage and what are other ways I could mod my drive train to run cooler and faster?

I held a c4.2 in my hands at the track yeserday and it felt alot heavier than my car, I was surprised at the difference, considering the only light weight mod im running is a shortie lipo.
