Finally built my shocks. Was a little worried after reading about some of the issues experienced by others. However, the build went great. No problems. Actually, I think they are the easiest shocks I have built yet. Perhaps AE has corrected some of the issues. Everything fit well and I see no signs of leaking. I just took my time and used green slime on the o rings. They seem to be nice and smooth, I am happy with how they turned out.

I dont have issues with mine other. I think some people are just "special" lol. I do need to top them off every race week and change the oil once a month. but thats pretty good imo. my losi shocks are filthy after 1 weekend and leak way more.

well, I was kinda lying on the once a month, it was 3 months, lol. just didnt wanna give out my bad habits. But I do need to add 1-2 drops once a week and rebleed. still one of the best shocks I have owned. the K shocks were nice, but they had their issues also.

oh... also seem alot better after a suggestion from bigski15 at the track the other week too... when you bleed your shocks leave the spring cups on, so you dont push out too much oil... never thought of that, but it really does make sense too.

Must be nice, in south FL on the red clay tracks we pickup this micro fine dust that seems to suck right into the rear shocks. I HAVE to change oil every 2 weeks minimum. :weird:

Man, you guys are so lucky. Between the dirt and my OCD, I rebleed shocks every week and change oil probably every 3rd week. That's on the B4s. On my 22SCT I have to change oil every other week, and those things leak like mothers all the time also. Luckily Losi realized the problem and is releasing updated shock parts with the 22 2.0. So, y'all should be happy about the awesome AE shocks :)

I've heard both sides of the story on the Exotek's. Some folks have said that they are sold at C height. Others have said that they need a short ball end to equal C height. I've never measured it but I think the latter is the case. I'll measure it up this afternoon. I need to work on the rear end of the truck anyway after blowing a hinge pin out of the hinge pin brace on a really weird jump landing. It was in the main too. What a bummer.

Changed from 37.5 to 30r & 32.5f on the buggy, hopping to get it handling a bit smoother!!

what pistons? that is a pretty decent change in oils.
