First off, a body isnt going to make or break the way a car handles. It isnt going to make a car great if its already bad. And if you know any changes, it will be minuscule at most!

The past 3 weekends i have been playing around with the 3x1.4 pistons. My local track is a pretty bumpy track. And the 3x1.4 pistons soak up those bumps really well! But i felt like they were too soft in some areas also. I ran them back to back with the 1.7's multiple times....The 1.7's felt faster but was a little more inconsistent and on edge through the bumps while the 1.4 felt like riding on clouds. But again, there were certain areas where i did feel that the 3x1.4's were too soft. While running the 1.4's, i had to go up in spring rate in order to keep the buggy from dumping and being grabby. To me, at my local track, 1.7's were faster while the 3x1.4's were more consistent. If my track wasn't bumpy and rough, i would have definitely went to 1.7's and possibly tried the 1.6's.

This weekend will be the first weekend trying the 1.4's outdoors. I feel like they have potential, but for some reason i feel like the 1.7's will be my go to piston. Final conclusion.....i feel that the 3x1.4's pistons are a good tuning aid, but at the end of the day, i feel that the 1.7's are going to be my go to piston. But as everyone knows, in 2wd buggy, shocks are possibly the most important adjustment on the car aside from tires, and its a never ending battle with pistons, oils, and springs.

That could be possible. I didn't measure, but I'll try tonight.

At my track, a medium bite medium size track not a whole lot of bumps, and smaller jumps i have been running 1.7 front rear with 37.5 front and 35 rear with green springs both front and rear and my car feels very good.

Check the first page of this thread and/or the first page of the http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...4-1-ft-wc.html

Basically you shave the nub off the u brace where the inner ball stud mounts. This is normally used in conjunction with the C Hub mount which lowers the outside ball stud mount.

Matt, care to elaborate on what is actually going on when switching from a 2x1.6 pistion to a taper 3x1.4?

I'm really wondering what adding the extra hole does?

I would think that the taper makes the shock pack faster and rebound faster?

This might be a stupid question. But which washer is thicker? 0.030 or 1mm?

Thanks.

More in one direction, less in the other. You can mount it whichever way you want.
