did you look at the manual?

the gap between the ends should be 2mm. you can put 2x 1mm washers between and be done. set your endpoints also.

If I am understand correctly you drill and tap thru the hub and 1/2 way INTOthe pin right? Just making sure I dont drill to much.

i used full size ball ends cut down to RE-make the steering link because one of the ends stripped out. so now i need to know what the total length should be instead of the "gap".

You don't really need to do anything with the pin. Just drill and tap the hub. You are just trying to force the pin against a quadrant of the hole in the hub. Works like a charm. I've seen them with two set screws but really only one is needed.

Gotcha I was figuring it was just like a set screw in there but the instructions say to drill into the pin, but I think that would probably weaken it quite a bit.

Do the full size ball ends fit the steering ball studs? I thought I remember them as being a bit smaller.

they fit fine, and i solved the problem. the servo saver arm is kinda thick, so it hits the center support post before all the steering throw is used. so i just sanded down that side of the saver and now i have full throw in both directions.

got an Avid steering rack on the way anyways.

Check the manual? Why do that when you can come on here and ask the question and let someone else check the manual for you

Depends on the track. I spend 95% of my time trying to tame the rear end, so short.

normally i would agree with this comment, even tho it is more or less directed at me. but in this case i checked the manual and the manual doesn't list an overall length. i posted a question so that i could get an answer, and i still need that answer so i can sort out the steering rack and be done with it.
