I'll be getting my B4.2 this week and have a few questions. This will be my first buggy so I'm not confident in my motor and servo choices. I will be running a MMP ESC. For the motor I was going to pick up a 7.5t Reedy Sonic, or might wait for the Mach 2? I'm not sure on the servo. I remember reading some suggestions further back but can't seem to find them now. Thoughts?

The MMP fits, but only just & it does bump the body up some. You can remove the fan (with a dremel) with no ill effects. I use an lrp x12 8.5t & really like it, but I haven't tried the new x20. If I were going to replace it I would either get a tekin gen2 or wait for the reedy sonic 2.

This is what I did for my buddy, it fits great with no issues.

I run a tekin gen 2 and I love it. Low temps and gobs of power.

Does this kit come with the selection of pistons or do we buy those separate?

Just ran mine yesterday for the first time, amazing car, only thing that sucks are the tie rod ends, I broke four of them, change them to rpm as they broke.

When you say "tie rod ends" are you talking about the ball cups? If so, you did a good thing :)

If that's not what you mean, please 'splain, as I'm confused.

Im running a LRP SXX v2 with a 10.5 Orion 81/22 gearing and it runs great. I just need to do some fine tuning with my slipper and diff to get the feel right. I had it perfect with my 4.1 but i cant seem to get it on my 4.2 for some reason. Guess it was just luck before.

I was able to hit my local track tonight for open practice. I love the B4.2! It drove very well with no issues.

Tires were Bar Codes (green or super soft) all around. They hooked up! Shock oil was 35 front and 30 rear.

I am digging the car so far. Very happy.

I was thinking the same, but Jason is a natural (virtually Brad Pitt) compared to this one from Cav:lol:
