No as mentioned by Benard_Jr. Its diffs are highly durable and hold fluid better than what the SC10 4x4 diffs do.

As for gearing, I would pickup a range of pinions and experiment. Novak pinions for the money work reasonably well if cost is a concern.

What do you think I should honestly ask as a package deal for:
1. Brand new Tekno SCT410 still in box, only opened to remove and use the rear shock tower on my other Tekno that was raced
2. Tekno SCT410 used for 1 season (10 races) in great shape. Has a few upgrades like lightened out drives on diffs and lightened center driveshaft. Plus a few spares like hubs, arms and rear spare driveshaft still in bags. Original stock center driveshaft also.
3. Hobbywing SCT ESC used this season only
4. Hobbywing 4000kv used for 1 day
5. Hobbywing 4700kv used for all of 1 race season (9 races) except 1 day I used the 4000.
6. Tekin 4600 bought new and only used at the Roar Nationals where I finished 10th in the B main so all of 1 hour on that motor.
7. Hitec 7940 High Voltage servo
8. 1 new mylaps (new version) bought and used only at Roar Nationals.
9. Plus about 4-5 SMC 7200and 8 nanotech 6500
There's probably a few more things I can't remember but what should I honestly ask for all that?

I agree with the other guys and would stay away from selling on the forums. You wont nearly get back what you spent on it plus you gotta worry about shipping etc. It's kinda a pain in the rear so unless you really need the cash. I'd sell to the local guys at your track. I never tried ebay or craigslist to sell r/c though. Good luck with everything!

Here are some pics of my rigs. The sct410 is new and the EB 48.2 has 1 race on it.

Please, at least put some electrical tape on those balance wires!

I just put a battery in to set ride height. It's not a good lipo.

Most guys are all over with this one. A Savox 1258 or a Spektrum 6040 would suit the needs fine. Both spec at 167oz/0.08sec. Several run Hitec 7955 which is 333oz/0.15sec. I was running a Orion 1409 (200oz/0.10sec) and I never was short on power or speed. For the heck of it I recently put in a Protek 130ss (211oz/0.06sec) in my truck, and DAMN! Servo is incredibly quick and powerful. If I wanted to I could crank up the voltage to 7.4 volts with my Viper VTX8 and the specs at 7.4 volts are 260oz/0.05sec. Any servo that specs in the ballpark of any of the above would put a smile on your face.

Hey guys, I seem to be having issues with my center diff. While finishing my build i noticed some diff fluid leaking around gear. I checked the screws and they seemed snug but I didnt remove center diff assembly......just checked while in truck. My question is how tight can these screws go, or is it possible I missed something? Thanks for any help!

I'm sure you just overfilled the diff, I did the same thing with my center and after a run all the excess fluid will be gone, I just wiped it off the chassis

7955TG is my go to for almost all vehicles, but they are expensive. I even have one running at 8v in my truggy prototype and it just plain works, not to mention being just crazy fast that that voltage.

That being said, I decided to go for something different on the SCT410, the protek 100s. Downside, it developed some slop very quickly in the servo itself (not sure if it's bearing or what). That being said, a little slop really will never hurt much. Upsides I think I bought it on sale for $40, I've beat on it hard for a few months, and it specs at 0.09/168oz. This is sufficient in my experience, but I race primarily medium traction (little higher bite if rained or hosed down). On a blue groove track, you might need something slightly different because you can REALLY feel there when a servo isn't cutting it.

Just my opinion, but I'm pretty sure there are some slightly bad diffs out there. I've been filling 1/8th scale diffs for years and my center EB48 always leaked from day 1. I replaced the case and it hasn't lost a drip since. No issues on the front/rear of the EB48 or any of the three on my SCT410.

So yes, over tightening can indeed lead to leakage, but IMO there may have been a selective (possibly small) bad run of cases.

anyone hear from Hitec how much of a speed and torque increase you see on the 7955tG servo on 7.4V? I know they have said it can work on that voltage, just curious what it specs at then.

Yes there are some bad ones, it's been confirmed and the fix was turning it upside on a flat surface and sanding the edge of the diff case in a circular motion to make it flat. That said mine have never leaked on either truck/buggy or center/f/r and you hand tighten you don't need to go crazy.

I have, just much quieter and smoother.
