literally beach sand?

I find that almost any pin style tire with wide spacing does best for loose pack sand. It is a must to wet the sand down before each race.

For AKA, I would go with GridIron first, then maybe try Enduro if you want more side bite than front bite

For ProLine, I would go with Snipers first, then maybe Bow-Fighters if you want more side bite

If you're driving on dry sand, than you can't beat sand paddles, the proline Sling Shots are decent enough without tearing up the jumps too much, but beware that paddles will destroy the lips of each jump... been there done that!

Here is a sample of a temporary beach track I made while on vacation:

Just released whole diffs too. I like getting a couple extras to fill with heavier and lighter oils to make quick adjustments.

Saw that to...

Wonder if that yellow spur is the same as the original part? Looks to be of a different material.

Same gear. The front/rear diffs come with the lightened outdrives and the straight cut gear.

Default Tekno RC Releases New Rear Gearbox, Aluminum Servo Horns, and Hex Adapters

Tekno RC is proud to announce a new rear gearbox option for the EB48 and SCT410 (TKR5016B). This new gearbox is slightly angled upward to minimize the drive angles and increase efficiency. Furthermore, this helps to reduce wear on the driveshaft for increased longevity. New larger 5x13x4mm bearings also help to increase durability (TKRBB05134).

Tekno RC has released a new line of aluminum servo horns (TKR5251, TKR5252, TKR5253). These servo horn are the perfect fit for your steering servo in almost any vehicle and were designed to minimize stress on the servo spline. Utilizing a bottom mount design, these servo horns will keep your servos better protected - keeping you in the race. A locking screw is included for added security. CNC machined and gun metal anodized for wear, these servo horns will not strip out any time soon.

We've received many requests to offer the stub axles from our 17mm SCT410 hub adapters separately. We have answered the call and have released the stub axles in a package by themselves (TKR5580). These are used when converting your SCT410 to a lightweight 1/8th buggy (EB48SL). They are made from hardened steel and require the other parts in the TKR5570-17 17mm Hub Adapter set for use.

PART #: TKR5016B
DESC: Gearbox (rear, angled, 5x13x4mm bearing)
MSRP: $13.99

PART #: TKRBB05134
DESC: Ball Bearing (5x13x4mm, 4pcs)
MSRP: $7.99

PART #: TKR5251, TKR5252, TKR5253
DESC: Aluminum Servo Horn
MSRP: $14.99

PART #: TKR5580
DESC: Stub Axles for Adapters (For TKR5570-17, SCT410, hardened steel, 2pcs)

I hate to burst your bubble zhydeman, but most of us have seen these new products a few pages ago. People on here are usually first to know when new products have come out.

I built a track in my back yard to practice. Straight away is 105 ft. into a 90 degree left hand turn. It causes the inside of the wheel to rub on the drive hub. This caused my SCTE rim (drivers side rear) to literally drill out where the nut holds the wheel on. I'm not kidding.

Put a new wheel in there trimmed it back a lot and this time is stripped out, circular, the hex and the new wheel is shot.

I see Proline F11's and the AKA's are a good alternative however this is becoming an expensive experiment. The tire I reset on the new rim was glued on there extremely well the SECOND time because it was a little worse for wear. Now I have to purchase new wheels and tires.

Why are my rims moving that much to begin with and why are the tolerances so close?

Give my wallet a break and please make some recommendations.

I had to get home to see what you were talking about. It seems that some of the rims actually have a smaller inner diameter than others which could just be material thickness. I run JC Hazard rims and like many ran into the issue of the steering tie-rod screw rubbing the wheel because of this.

Your problem is that the clearance between the wheel and the hub carrier is so close that if the rim deforms it hits the hub. I built the truck with the +1mm aluminum hexes. Are you still using the composite hexes? Maybe they are just allowing more wheel movement under a side load.
