Just finally got to run this thing indoors I been only running it on large outdoor tracks and all I can say is this truck can turn on a dime more so than my sc10 ever did and I didn't even change a thing but shock springs front and back I can't wait to really tune it for indoors. This truck more than exceeded my expectations.

I like to think we went home with his tail between his legs :) Can't wait to get this thing into a real race on a larger track!
I did ok in 2wd was first time I ran it in about 2 years ended up winning the B and finishing last in the A. Not bad for a 17.5 in an open class. It's so hard for me to switch from this beast to a dinky little stocker 2wd :) back to back.

Get an aluminum servo horn and aluminum wheel hexes. Done. Kit is bulletproof after that. |

As for what you'll likely want next...springs to tune with. If you're on high bite, look for things in the tekno yellow range on the front and tekno orange range on the back. If you're on more common medium traction tracks, green front, pink rear seems to be popular. The soft stuff included seems to be fairly popular for very low traction. Expect to play with it to match your track based on setup choice and desired feel. I personally like the stiffer feel everywhere except for extremely low traction, so I'm generally running something close to Tekno yellow all around. IF you end up with a nose dive issue due to short lip high altitude kick up jumps, then you'll probably want both the stiffer spring setup and higher weight oil or pistons with more pack (like the 8x1.3s), but if you don't have that problem or super high traction, the stock 10x1.2s work well. |
