Now that's interesting!! Well at least that makes me feel a little better experimenting with a higher center. Do you know by chance what they're running in the front and rear with the 20-30k middle setup? What type of track? Indoor/outdoor/type of bite?
Thanks!

Things like the Hudy setup guide are rules of thumb. I take it all with a grain of salt. With every chassis I have set up I use the knowledge gained from previous setup to get me started. However, I keep in mind that because it worked on a previous chassis it does not mean it is going to work on the current. In a lot of cases, a setup change will do the total opposite that is written in a book or stated on a forum.

I want to say 10/30/5 but I just can't remember or be for certain. Next time I see then I will ask. Umpy visits this forum and he is running this type of setup. Maybe he will chime in

For tight indoor (TRCR) I'm running stock front (7k), Center (30k) & rear (3k).
Seems to work for me. I think Brian (Umpy) is running something similar to this too. Truck still has gobs of steering --both off power & on power. I think the heavier center helps forward bite which is needed on a tight technical track like TRCR where you are darting from one 180 degree corner to the next 90 degree.

my 2 cents.

1) any idea when there will be more kits available on the tekno site?

2) has anyone tried 2x shorties in parallel?

here is my setup sheet that works great from indoors to outdoors, low bite to highbite.

Thanks much guys (about the last 5 or 6 posts) for your info on your setups. I'm going to try going from 10-10-2 (which is decent) to 10-30-2. I like what JASF4I is saying about the "darting" from turn to turn--that's exactly what I need at our track. Also thanks suby723 for posting your setup-I'm going to try your recommendation on lengthening the rear camber link between the tower and hub.
Ill also be trying my vented shock setup with foam compensators which Ill report back on.
Lastly-I emailed Tekno to find out the ETA on the DLC coated shock shafts--gotta keep that stiction to a minimum!
Ill report back soon!

This is very close to the setup I'm running in my truck. The only differences i really see is the camber lengths being longer. I'm still using the stock locations. What are the biggest differences in changing them to the longer camber length? I love my current setup and how it just works for both indoor & outdoor.

Always a good idea, however, these diffs hold much more than certain "other" SC's out there so you will not have as early of a breakdown of the fluids. The capacity of these is right up with there with my Mugen Eco--true 1/8 scale diffs (and pretty much the rest of the truck for that matter!!!).
