Which body's fit the best? And which ones are U guys running? It seems that alot of bodies are too long and hang over the Bumpers.

Anybody try the ftw?

I am using the Jconcepts Illuzion Hi-Flow and it fits perfectly fine. I also just ordered the FTW Diamonback body, so see how that goes here soon.

The losi body. The truck was built for it i think it fits that good. The FTW and jconcepts are butt ugly IMHO.

Anyone here running Protek 130T or similar case servos? If so, how is the fit?

I should be picking up a 130T tomorrow I believe. It is standard size so should fit fine. It will be going in my new SCT410 build, so I probably won't get to those steps until next weekend, but I'll try to remember to throw it in the sideguard mount and hold that on the chassis for a pic for you.

Hypothetical question:

Is it possible that the SCT410 has out sold the SCTE 2.0 up until this point?

The SCT410 has been out a little longer, right? I know LOSI has way more distribution, brand name recognition, advertising (probably), etc. but retail is changing these days. People, especially hobbyiests, do a large portion of their buying based on what they read online. Forums like this have a HUGE influence on sales today.

We'll never know, but I still think it's interesting to think about. Then again, I'm a nerd.

I also noticed my truck keeps shutting off at weird times during the race. I tried a new sensor wire, re-did all my solder joints, checked to be sure all my bullets were tight fitting, and made sure my receiver plugs were fitting right. It will just have no throttle for 10 seconds, but the steering works fine. I'm using good new smc race formula packs as well. I don't know what else to do.
Make sure you aren't using the BETA firmware, does not play well with the Hobbywing motor.

I was never using beta firmware. I've heard beta doesn't work well with really any setup. Right now i'm using 1.32 firmware (non-beta).

Alright, I've been wrong before

Did you try resetting the BEC to factory by chance?

I'm not really sure you can reset an external bec. Right now i'm @ 6.0 volts.

Just a quick question? Has anyone new start running in your class. What radio and rx are you running. Last year I started running a new track during practice my truck seemed to run fine but as soon as the race started I would just loose throttle but still have steering swore it had to be my mmp. It ended up being someone in my class was running a low end radio and rx and it would make my spektrum radio freak out. Ended up buying a mt-4 that same day and all my troubles went away and didn't have to run the e-bec anymore.

I got mine a few weeks ago and the current limited to 35 and I did put the 19 pinion on for practice . I was bumping a ebuggy on our 175 ft. Straight and all I heard was WTF. it was great . The down side was my 6800 track power will only go 6min.with that pinion . Motor temp. 165. I now run a16pinion motor runs 140. You will love it.

The blacks are suppose to generate more pack than the whites. Anyways, I started at what most seem to be using for the whites--35f/30r. BTW-this is with the standard pink/green springs that most everyone seems to be running. On our outing yesterday it was evident that the truck was blowing through the stroke with little to zero pack and the truck was acting like it was on pogo sticks. I decided to up the fluids at the track to 40/35--this helped a bit. I'm going back today with 45/40 and hoping the dampening will be where it needs to be. If not I am prepared to go 50/45. I'm just not sure why I'm having to go this high when it seems that most are in the 30-40 range with the white pistons which supposedly dont generate the pack that the blacks do. One thing--I've built many RC's in the past with the lightest parts possible only to find drivability fall off the map. With this build I decided to stay on the heavier side as most everyone is reporting that this is definitely that way to go with the tekno. I haven't weighed the truck but am thinking I'm definitely on the heavier end of the spectrum (4300hd, 6500 carbon pro, 1.5oz put in dead servo space). Thoughts on this????
hi on a smooth track thicker oil is the way to go. on a bumpy track close to stock is great. I am putting the 9th race on my truck tomorrow stock diff oils 35/ 30 w Schumacher shock oil. yellow front green rear springs. shocks inside hole on the tower middle hole on the arm. Aluminum steering posts. running the C/F shock towers for the first time tomorrow not to make the truck lighter only to LSG. now I can add the weight back were I want. im still on stock pistons and don't have the need to replace them. The truck has worked great for me so far and tomorrow will be another new track for me and the truck. BTW yes a heavier truck is great outside and in bumps to heavy is not good this truck is gust right out of the box. for a high bite track LSG is key to not roll. less droop helps on a smooth track to. I would not replace the chassis but yes do towers steering posts and titanium turn buckles. I runt the TLR body and no side crash bars no center brace. I plan on trying weight in the rear down low on the chassis not a servo.

The first body I went with was the proline flotek tundra body. I liked the body but the mounting holes they tell you to use makes the front of the body push past the bumper about 1 1/4". I hate that. My next body I'm going to run is the jconcepts f250 & I'll mount the front closer to the bumper. After that body I'll try the losi body.
