Here's a link to that steering issue, Tekno says this is normal because you have to set your EPA different than the method I've always used and that is turn all the way until usually the steering hub hits the c-hub or arm but on here Tekno says wheels "ON" and to use the correctly spaced wheel and the wheel will actually hit the arm way before what I show in this video.....I don't have any Losi spaced rims around but will switch and see if Tekno is correct

You need a wheel with about a 34mm back space.

USMC STONE 02-20-2013 04:55 PM

Yea I've got some Losi ones around somewhere, does yours do this with the wheels off so rim won't hit? I was gonna run a wider wheel base and still can but just have to dial steering EPA back until it doesn't do the Tekno Flop

You know what, I just pulled the wheels off and tried it and mine doesn't do it. I can turn it to lock and hold the opposite wheel and I can't move the other wheel in either direction.

I'm getting mixed info on it, some have said they have it and some don't. I have built enough kits and am sure I built it correct with correct lengths on all steering and camber all to stock set up. I was told by Tekno that last bit of steering isn't used because with wheels on it will hit before you turn this far. Well I just found some Losi rims and it still wobbles more than I would like right before wheel hits the steering link. I'm gonna tear down and rebuild front end since I'm hearing some have it and some don't that's what bothering me. Driving XRAY I've never seen this and full lock is when steering block physically hits the C-Hub. So on this truck if this is how they are you cannot set EPA with wheels off.

mine full locks with scte jc wheels..hubs bottom out... with the servo pulling , i have only the slightest movement simply because, as explained a few times..the leverage from steering arm is different at that angle

APE skid plates are back in stock.

You can order yours here:

I'm still working on the shock tools. I will have an announcement shortly.

Thanks,

Chris

make sure the two screws that attach the Ackerman to steering arms are tight. I do have a little wobble (less than 1mm) but I think that is normal.
