But how does that differ from making adjustments with the camber link holes?

The pills drop the hinge pins, changing roll center as well as where the chassis sits in the stroke of the arm at the same ride height, also changing leverage.
For the spindles, they're not cross compatible with the buggy that I'm aware of, so I think that's a buggy/trusty only option. The new spindles there are to make the car less responsive to steering input (twitchy) and handle rough and bumpy tracks better. |
Interesting on the pills, I would be open to trying them.
I would want more caster in this truck, part of the reason I run max kickup in the front. Too bad that's a EB specific part. |

I like it to be a little more neutral . |
I got my BCE 2014 chassis yesterday and man its awesome. Gonna get it put together over the wknd for a test & tune day on Monday. Cant wait to get it on the track, thanks Stan & Bill.

Has anyone tried the CSI Tekno Squared V-Port Pistons? There the blue aluminum ones on A Main for $27.99? I'm currently running the Fioronis and there great but I would like to try these out. I also see RC Shox is making the UFO pistons for the truck now also. I have heard good things about these pistons in other trucks, anyone running these?

I tried inside, middle & outside settings when I got the kit. For my driving style the outside dot setting works best. I don't like a front end the dives down that much making the truck feel like its hooking into a turn. But my style is more of a flow style than point & shoot.
Its really easy to get to to try out the different settings. There really is only two pills needed. The middle and offset. The offset one just flips for inside or outside dot. If yours is inside or outside, flip it and see what you get out of it. If you have the middle dot, that's all you got... middle. Yea but looks like you need to buy the middle hole pills if you want that . Whats the middle hole do as far as sweep in the arms ? My is to the outside (one dot) its the Front outer Alum suspension block . I would think however on a tight indoor track having the dots pointing towards the inside would help with off power steering . But most tracks indoor and outdoor i go to are not really that bumpy . I dont like a truck that hooks in a turn . My driver style is a mix actually . |

If you don't have it you need to buy TKR5021 that come with additional two dot insert. |

Outside dot takes some of that dive out when braking into a turn. Like XzedamX said, if you didn't get the spare pills from whoever you bought the truck from, pick a set up. Try the options out. |

Gents,
I am about ready to set up my new Tekin RX8 (v1) ESC and Tekin Pro4HD 3000kv motor in my SCT410. I will be using a sensor cable and running a 3s 6500mAh 70C battery. I could really use some advice on a good first attempt of RX8 settings. I am mostly a basher, I guess... Voltage cutoff: 10.24 Motor type: BL-DL Drag brake: Brake strength: Push control: Brake minimum: Neutral width: Current limit: Reverse speed: Throttle minimum: Timing: Thanks in advance. /Greg |

First flash esc with the newest firmware from Tekins site.
Calibrate ESC. Voltage cutoff: 3 Cell Motor type: BL-DL Drag brake: None Brake strength:60 Push control: 0 to 20. Drivers preference, start at 0. Brake minimum: 1 Neutral width: spectrum 10, Airtronics, KO, Futaba and others 3-5 Current limit: 50 to 100, again, drivers preference. Start at 80. Reverse speed: 30 Throttle minimum: 1-3. Set lowest to where just barely pulling trigger gets the wheels rolling while on a stand. Timing: Depends on your gearing and temps and if you need more top speed. Tekin motors generally don't like timing and it is not lacking power. Start at none, forgot what it says, min or 1 or whatever... the lowest you can get it and use gearing to get your straightaway speed right. |
