Has anyone run a 4s setup in the SCT. How does it perform?
Was thinking of use some of my extra 8th scale electrics. Will they fit? The SCT look so similar to the EB. I only race with friends, so don't care much about the rules. Edit: about the 4s setup its too much power "depending" on your motor for my application 3s use with the 2200kv motor I had to bump my diff fluid up to 10k rear 12k center and 15k front to keep the power dispersed evenly under full throttle on 4s i felt afraid i would blow a tire off the wheel or snap an axle. if you have a smaller diameter motor or lower kv that is 4s capable and you omit the center brace you could drop down to a 17 or 18t pinion and get reasonable rpm on the wheel without tearing it apart. |
APE Tekno Shock Tool
3 Attachment(s)
Here are the pictures of the prototype. It fit so well that the tool would stay on the shock even if I held on to the shock and turned it over. I'm going to open it up a couple thousanths so there is cleaance for a little dirt or a ding on the hex.

What is the benefit of using this special tool over say a crescent wrench or a similar tool, no flame intended I'm just curious what the advantage is. :)

Chris' tool won't chew up your shock bodies like the teeth of a crescent wrench will...

DE :D If more people ask for it in the JConcepts thread... maybe we will have 2 choices. I put a bug in their ear a while ago and my request was noted. But they will want to see more interest than just me I would think. |
