I wish they were available separately, but several have used some fuel tubing with grease in place of them.

Thanks to EJ over at builtrc.com for getting me another 4700 hobbywing quickly so I could race again this weekend to prepare for the start of a multistage series next weekend.

My SCT410 still goes great, I love this thing! I needed to readjust to driving sc again and brush off a month of driver rust, so as to stop rolling it over, but this thing is stupid fast. In the expert 4wd sc class my fastest lap, as well as top 5,10,15 averages were all significantly faster than the rest of the field...but I got last in the club race due to the rollovers. I'm very much looking forward to the upcoming outdoor multistate series to run my SCT410 and my full EB 48!

lol

What oil weights are you running now? I ran those pistons for a few races before I went to the 8x1.4 pistons in the back but I think I was 37/30 with the 1.3's all with green springs. I have seen 40/32, 37/32, 37/30 and 35/30 used, all kind of up to the driver and track but within that range.
Have you tried an emulsion build?

Turns out I was running 30/25 and one of the front sway bar links disconnected.

Rebuilding the shocks with 35/30.

Would the front sway bar not being attached attribute to a lack or rear traction and off power steering? Looks like I have one more thing to add to my pre-race check...

fq06 03-17-2014 06:54 PM

Yeah, the sway disconnected would give you a lot more steering and make the rear end really loose. If just on one side it would make it turn different left & right too. Those fixes may be worth a second or two :tire:

You should be good with those oils, if it feels like its still too much steering try 37 in front... try 37 anyway if you have a couple hours practice time before a race. You may like 35 better but at least you will know.

Race check list so far, setup sheets and check for things dangling of the truck

I'm hopefully going to get a practice day next week if the weather cooperates. I have a target on my back after coming out of nowhere and winning the opening race haha!

Will have Orange and Blue rear springs to try and some new tires hopefully...

Hi all
I have got my first issue with a tekno parts on my sct410!
I have got the plastic insert kept coming out of the aluminum Serrated Lock Nut wheel.
And this happen after 70 battery of hard use!

I purchased the Tekno Servo arm, but have had nothing but problems. The tiny screw that needs to be adjusted is problematic even with loctite. I have now installed another servo arm, but the linkage now has to sit on top as there would be no clearance. Short of grinding part of my new arm down, can someone recommend a servo arm that will fit the Tekno (Other than the Tekno unit)?

On another note, the wheel nuts are terrible. I replace them with locknuts from a local hardware store and loctited them as well.... The wheel nuts kept coming off.

FYI do not considered these as complaints as this truck is the best on the market... just two minor flaws imo...

I am using the ofna servo arm listed on the first page without issue. I did change the ugly orange countersink washer to blue though :D The steering link mounts on top of the ofna arm but the ofna arm sits very low on the servo.

The Losi wheel nuts are the best I've used, they have a very good serration and bite in very well.

what pinion are you guys using with the HW 4000? 15?

iTz Nicholas72 03-18-2014 08:34 AM

I've had good luck with Traxxas wheel nuts. They aren't aluminum, but you get 12 for $3.

Strange about the horn. Did you strip the thread for the small bolt? Just barley need to snug it. Hotbodies one works also.

I never had wheel nuts come off. Wonder why your having a issue.

I ran a 15 with my 4700 this past weekend and my motor never temped over 100*. I'd say try at least a 17T...

I'd start with a 17t at least. Just keep an eye on your temps of course when running a new motor.

Can you post a picture of what you have going on? I've seen someone use a servo with a unique case and had some horn issues.

That's weird with the wheel nuts. I've been using the stock wheels nuts since january last year.

Haven't posted in awhile and wanted to ask before I posted this..... Is it ok to list a for sale post in this thread? I have a built but never used SCT410 with a fair amount up upgrades I'm looking to sell...
