Not sure how long this link will work since they change results after each race, but Barry Baker and Josh Bertrand were running the SCT410 last night at OCRC. These are the results (TQ and win).
http://www.liverc.com/view_result_fi...4_(A_Main).xml Barry's truck weighs 6.7lbs. He is running the box setup with 10K in the center. He beat up on the Tekno guys with his new truck on Saturday @ SDRC (taking the win) and also raced it Friday night at OCRC (TQ and win). He's had the truck since Wednesday of last week and he is obviously very comfortable with it already. |
With good results comes good setup. Is there a setup sheet for both tracks?
Also, there's a cool vid of baker riding his sc and 1/8e. You should post it here if you haven't already.

So I can drive like barry? lol. J/k. Truck looked planted in the straight and bumpy sections. But it did look loose in the corners, he was even drifting a little. I know the fast guys like the cars/trucks looser. I like them planted like glue to the ground.

Pro drivers want as much steering as possible since they can navigate the track so well and hit every line. You can see how close and how tight Barry is able to get to the corners on the track. And the main area where we think this truck will beat other trucks is the amount of corner speed it carries even when turning that tight. |
They looked good 2 weeks ago at sdrc! Blue one and orange one were on it,some people like them loose others are more precise like onroad drivers, either way this sct is very nice, and looks to be a easy truck to drive

I am sure it will be fine. I just still have nightmares about my sc10 4x4 and its massive steering. I ran my DR at 70% and slowed servo speed just to keep it going straight, lol.
The Losi's I have driven slide in the rear also, but square up on power. Kinda like an 8th scale. I assume the Tekno will square up under power as well. |
one thing I wonder about, will we be seeing people use say a different harder compound in the front on their wheelers like in 2wd classes to calm down the steering if they find it an issue.
I did that indoors are far as using a different compound up front when we still could run 1/8 scale on carpet. Helped a lot as the V4 layout with the D8 layout has lots of steering too. |
