Hey D. I had a Savox 1251 in my xb4 all last year. It was fine, but I plan to put an Xpert low profile servo in my next xb4. Been running them in my touring cars(PM-3401 and PI-3401-B) and I'm really happy with them so far. Great specs for torque and speed, precise and reasonably priced too. Definitely worth checking out.

The ones in most of the press release pictures look like futaba or older ko propo servos.

Regarding the bevel gears discussion.. It took me quite a while to destroy any of the plastic gears, but then I went through a couple of sets of them. Though I agree that with a properly set slipper, it shouldn't be an issue, they can still strip a bit too easily. I'm glad they went with metal gears now. I'm sure I'll feel more confident in the car's ability to hold up to my abuse. The new car looks sweet! Can't wait to get one.

There is a minor error in the manual on page 40 when you are building for shorty battery.
The rear/front driveshaft have the "mm" text reversed.
It should be 95mm rear and 85mm front.

---
Regarding setup sheet.
I like to start with building the car according to the setup sheets provided by Xray for a start.

A confusing thing is that the setup sheet specifies the following.
Front top deck - Standard / No
Rear top deck - Standard / No

In both Carpet and Clay setup sheets it specifies "No" on both Front and rear.

But i dont understand how you can build it without using the front topdock.
The body post is attached to the front deck.

I will build it with the front topdeck anyway, but still confusing.

My '15 so far. Using old dampers from the '14, couldn't be bothered to do the new dampers now as these are literally 2 batteries old since last rebuild. Will buy some new xray alu shock caps and do a proper install of the new ones a bit later though.

Using ORCA 13 AWG to motor and 12 awg to the batteries. This was done like this to avoid the running gears with all cables, when I'm done it should be quite impossible to actually get a cable to touch any running gears.

Any chance you'll disclose the name of this site? I'd like to purchase these same parts for my 14 Xb4 - I'm also considering buying the center diff to see if I can make it work on the 14 car with the saddle layout???

Ive set my slipper 10 diff times losened it way off. Still blew front diff gears and rear diff gears , and im sure alot of other racers that dont get out weekly have as well . Go ahead and put me on your ignore list i could care less. Do me a favour. I run mostly in my buds back yard track with a timing system and drink beer. With metal gears means more run time and more beer . So all you wanna be pro slipper adjusters can have your composite gears and dnf for all i care.i just wanna have fun n run my car.

BDRMBULLY,

Are you using the '13 bulkhead, the V2 bulkhead or the '14 bulkhead?
