Agree. Slipper springs cannot be over compressed or they wont work right. I wouldnt recommend using other slipper pads tho. The xray pads are the most consistent ive ever felt. Any others always feel different by mid and end of run when they are allowed to slip much. These dont change. Makes for an easier to drive car when it doesnt change thru a race.

You must not read many forums then. Those posts are why I never get set up advice from rctech. Sure I consider suggestions that seam logical.

Could anyone please tell me if i am wrong or right?

Thank you

As i said, my question could have been a silly and stupid question but i would have expected a different answer from such a clever and polite person like you.

There's no way of applying pressure to just one side of the spring.

Put 2 dampers (without oil) with springs in a shock tool (like Losi's) with the springs the same way, compress and observe, now flip one of the springs the opposite way and compress again.......then get back to me

You're not alone in thinking this though.........it's a VERY wide spread misconception

Thanks Bent, it looks like i was wrong.

I've ordered some of these:
TSR "Pro Seals"
Haven't got them yet so can't comment on them. I've used their seals on my durango 4wd short course diffs and they worked great. Hopefully they work just as well in the xb4's diffs.

I think TSR is simply repackaged brands sold under their name - not sure how they get away with it. I'd bet those orings are Kyosho something or another, their dust boots are Durango...

You may be right. They do feel very similar to the kyosho o-rings. Which may be why they work so well . I don't own anything from kyosho, but I do love they're o-rings. I always replace my x-ray o-rings with kyosho ones if kyosho have the same size o-rings available.

I call bs. I have 4mm shock towers from tsr. What were those repackaged from? Also front bumper and battery brace for my b4.1. What were those repackaged from?

That's Team SR, this is TSR Products. Many similar names.

The TSR o-rings are just Kyosho o-rings I believe. they look the same at least.

You could try and sell the other ones since you don't need back ups. All you needed were the 1.5's and a 1.6mm drill bit to drill out a set.

You could also get a 1.7mm bit and drill out a set of pistons so you have a variety.

In my car I'm running 1.6 and 1.7's and it made a huge difference over the stock pistons
