A couple of our better Ae drivers are going to the Reedy .
They both are using the 44.1 chassis instead of the 44.2...:batman: |
I will laugh if the b44.3 is a b44.2 with short chassis... A local guy is friends with Kinwald and gets "stuff". He told me he has the b44.1 chassis and top plates, but meh, I think I need to shorten my drive shafts and that seems like a lot of work. Plus, I race outdoors and dont think I need my car to be any more nimble. If anything, I would get the avid chassis for the car.
|
Is there a left and right RPM arm, or are they both similar like the originals?
|
I looked at them and they not not appear to be oriented in the L/R fashion.
|
Thank you!
|
Tower has the RPM arms on back order. You guys bought them all! I guess I have to wait for mine. I've always run RPM arms if possible going way back. I know some say they don't perform as well but a car that can actually finish a race is better than one that can't!

had experience with their plastic before . Their stiffest when new, each run they grow a little softer and after receiving a bunch of crashes & spills will warp making the arms blind as if the suspension pins are bent .
However !!! They will never break and are NASA approved for Lunar track conditions. :D |
Maifield was running a short aluminum chassis during the 2014 Midwest champs last week. Basically I was told the short car was better.

I have like 6 pair of front arms and haven't really broke them very often so I'm good for now, but I suppose one could just put new arms on when they start getting soft if they have problems with the AE arms breaking.
Gave my old extra's away.. Think you may like the plastic b44 arm on back for extra grip & the HARD on Front. We have a lot more grip , so that's why I have stiffer arms in back Be surprised just how soft the RPM become after time, just compare a old one to a new. Same goes for Ae plastic B44 ,B4 arms. The new HARD stays straight & true the life of the arm. |

What would be nice is if they started using tuning plates like on the new Hot Bodies - they can run them with nothing, a soft plastic insert, or a carbon fiber insert for different arm stiffness.

Would be nice if there were markings so you could ID B4, B44, carbon and hard. This is getting annoying.

I know Hartson won w/standard length Avid chassis, but a lot of the guys were running a shorter alum version. |

It's not that bad, except for the hard... B4 - 1 ball for sway bar b44 - 2 balls for sway bar carbon - 1 ball & is an obvious grey hard - 2 balls, this one will be difficult but it is a slightly different shade of black from the b44 |
Thanks
