Pics will help. Is the axle shimmed right, how much camber, and where are the upper and lower shocks mounted. Check for cracks in the arms... Its probably something simple.

It's box stock shims and all. Middle hole tower, inner arm shock locations. Same for the camber link. Actually I think I have the camber link one hole further out side. It's in the 3rd hole closest to the tire.

x2....This was the biggest problem with mine.

UN4RACING 09-01-2013 07:29 PM

Yep I think the shock eyelets not being screwed on all the way have been the number one cause....

rdeppen 09-01-2013 07:32 PM

I thought I cranked them pretty tight I do know I backed one off a bit to get them even while I was building. Ill recheck for sure

Thanks folks

BLKXJ96 09-01-2013 07:41 PM

When I checked mine because I was having the same problem, I got almost a turn and a half to two turns on each shock. The unthreaded part of the shaft will still sink into the rod end a little....turn it till it starts to get tight, then mic them out so you know they are the same length. As long as the ball is not binding you're good!!

That's exactly how I built it and why I'm surprised its spitting CVD's. This dang sure aint my first RC car I've built LOL

So I built my rear shocks like the book stated with what i believe is one spacer under the piston. I'm having a problem with my car and one I built for a friend with the rear drive shaft popping out. We're not popping the camber link its still intact but the bone is popping out.

Any suggestions other then adding another limiter or 2 to the rear shocks?? And not landing jacked up

I had a similar problem on my b44.1. Come to find out, I had a bent outdrive and a cracked rear arm. Replace both rear arms and visually inspect the outdrives. If you have a spare bearing for the diff, the big ones that the diffs spin in while in the diff case, try putting it on the out drive with the diff still in the car and case. That was my problem wah back when and it messed with my head for who knows how long.

So many new 4wd buggies that the xray and schumacher released not too long ago will be the oldest ones for the worlds. Anyone think there will be another update for the b44 for the worlds? B44.3?

Do people make major setup changes when changing to the avid chassis?

Doubt it since the .2 version is really new. I think the newest update will be a all new buggy but not until next year.

All i really changed was rear shock pistons for a bit more pack, but my home track is a large 1/8 scale track. Otherwise you may wanna try going up a spring if you need front/back. Really depends on track...

New to the b44. I was curious what you guys recommended for gearing with a 8.5?
