Unless you're running on sugar or your track uses slicks... Sliver or black bars all day.

Camber link ball stud locations

Ok guys please help, new to my b44.2. Have a question after searching I haven't found anything relating to what using the forward or rear camber ball stud mounting holes on the chassis changes in regards to handling.

Thanks,

It effects the roll center of the car. This is a good read

I understand roll center. I am curious as to what specific effect the forward and rear holes have. All of my other rigs have inner and outer hole not front and rear.

Its not about them being forward or behind. One is shorter/longer than the other. It's just where AE put them.

Any word on a possible new 4wd kit soon? :)

They had to off set or put the holes at an angle for strength. In line the tabs would stick out further just a bit. The holes can more carbon between them this way..

I would like to see what they come up with myself.

Lets get a prediction started..

Center front and rear gear diffs, aluminum chassis minus 4mm of the plus 8mm with beefed up A-arms.. Thicker front tower and rear tower.

I feel like with all the extra room between the center bulk heads this was an open option for the future for a gear diff to be in the center?

What exactly does a center gear diff do? Just more rotating mass

More mass yep. It can be good or bad. But once you have the oil right you will never need a slipper again.

What do you usually rebuild after the race?

fq06 04-19-2014 08:40 AM

Top off the shocks or change out the fluid if its getting cloudy. For the other stuff every 4 days of driving or so and as needed.

I will have a 44.2 for sale here at the end of the week. Need to replace the front arms before I can list it. It has all the good stuff including the avid chassis and gear diff conv, JC rack,JC battery hold downs, wing stay. Will list and post pics Friday night. Or you may pm for more details.

ok Balldiffs:
I seem to be having trouble setting the diff so that it doesn't slip but isn't too tight when you turn the wheels.
ok i have switched my 7.5turns motor to the reedy 6.0 mach2.
For more torque at the jumps and higer speed without using boost and to many turbo.
But it's like the drivetrain can't handle the motor.
First i set my diffs medium to tight, (run on a medium to high bite astro track).
Afther than i set my slipper.
But that's the problem, it's not the slipper that slips, they are my diffs that slips.
when i loose the slipper e little more it's like i run a 13.5 motor, no torque at all.
i use, new plates, new balls and muchmore diff grease.

Will i have a good amount of torque, i must tighten the diffs to max and even than it's not the torque i suspect of a 6.0 motor. the first meters other cars( like xb4, bmax,...) pull faster away. My setup can handle more power, but the drivetrain not :-/.
