I'm hanging onto my blown Rx8's incase Tekin comes up with a "Customer Appreciation Trade in Sale" Get a RX NINE for 30% off when you trade in a RX8. Or something like that.

No way I'm paying $100 x 3 for repairs.

For the GT2.0 line (possibly the 2.1s, not sure as I only have used the 2.0s) and Silver Arrow V2 it will work assuming you are using the LCD Programming box. You will need to flash the box with speed passion firmware and only use that on the ESC. This is not supported by Speed passion, so if you have issues don't expect help. However, as I and others have done, it does work.

Ok..just wanted to confirm that. Im assuming the firmware is available easily? Yes..it would be the LCD programming box.

Yes, I just downloaded it from speed passions site. There are also various instructions out there too on how to do it. Its not hard at all.

You can also run the HW esc firmware on the GT series, I know a lot of on-road guys prefer the HW to the SP firmware.. But either way for the Xerun 2.0,2.1 and the GT series the program boxes as well as firmware are interchangeable.

Hobbywings are fine. And you guys know that HW makes the speed passion, orion and several other speedos right? I love people that say orions are awesome, HW are junk, because they are hobbywings, lol.

Just an FYI, for their new stuff, Speed Passion reps have stated they are fully separate from hobbywing now. Not sure if that includes the old line, but regardless, the stuff works.

LOL I wish. I am thinking about it, but the GT2.0 Pro Series works so well and I have 2 of them, no need right now. Temps stay around 90 degrees in my SC10 4x4 on the ESC, and all the tuning features are great.
