Default 22 SCT sway bars

Casper and or Ryan,

When will the sway bar kits be in stock?
Can I make the XXX-SCT sway bars work in the meanwhile?

When I drove Stephen Bess's 22-SCT last Friday at HRH, the truck looked like it had a ton of body roll in the sweeper but was good in the jumps and infield. Noticed that the HRH shootout setup had sway bars.
Based on my first drive impression with the truck, sway bars could help at our track.

I'd build mine overnite and race it Saturday!

Redbull, Monster and Rockstar are an overniter's best friends. BZZZZZZZZ.
Nah, too old for that stuff.

I'm hoping to race Friday night, BUT that's only if I can get it early tomorrow. I have a race to shoot tomorrow night, and I usually have 1,500+ photos to sort out after that. I need some build time...

What set up did tlr use at the nats? Is 25deg kick up with 5deg caster the same as 30deg kick up with 0deg caster the same?

I believe casper said the team racers are running the 25 deg kick and 5 deg caster. Don't know why but they seem to think that is better.

My 9yr old son and I are going to build our trucks together. He does some of his own maintenance now but I want this to be a learning experience for him. This will help him understand the ins and outs of the truck. Besides, I haven't built a kit since the mid 80's so I'm going to take my time and enjoy it!

I'd do the X8 combination from Falcon Sekido for $133
  • XERUN 60A SD ESC
  • XERUN 8.5T SD Motor
  • LCD Program Box
http://www.falconsekido.com/products...o-for-1-10-car

The X9 combo has the 10.5 motor if you want something a bit more mild.
If in the future you might run a 6.5 motor, get a 120A ESC now instead - the 60A is only rated to run down to an 8.5 motor.

The 22SCT comes out of the box with 30 degree kick and 10 degrees of caster. While it sounds like a lot of kick and caster, this stock setup works very well on low to medium grip tracks. We went with this front end setup because we knew the truck would be raced on a lot of these types of tracks. Many of our team drivers like the 25/5 kick and caster because they run on higher grip tracks and they prefer to have a more direct steering feel.

Ok sounds good. I was thinking I already have a 120A toro esc in my 4x4. Should I just stick with that and get a new motor?
