thats the stock im talking about this

-Most TLR Team drivers (and many club racers) are running the Aluminum 22 Buggy Front Pivot Part # TLR1072 with the Brass front 25 deg shim Part # TLR1049 rather than the 30 deg 22T/SCT front Pivot Part # TLR1105. This allows it to be more adjustable and so you can use less than 30 deg kick up if you so choose. They've been combining this combo with the 5 degree caster blocks Part # TLR1058 (plastic, included with original kit) or Part # TLR 1046 (aluminum) to achieve the 30 deg kick up anyway for most of the current setup sheets, but this may change in the future and this allows you to play with kick up angles of either less or more than 30 deg. This is a good article to help you understand kick-up angles http://losiracing.blogspot.com/2011/...lr-22-22t.html

They fit pretty tightly, so you might want to wait and see what my results are. Although getting 50ea for $10 is what made it worth the test for me.

That's the same site I went to for the leaky Blitz diffs and hingepins for the Durango 4x4 SC It worked for that truck, hopefully it'll do the same for the 22SCT.

You are using the brass shim with the 25/20 front pivot right? You cannot shim the 30 deg front pivot that comes with the SCT. Also the pivot should not affect the action of the slider.

Which Aluminum Pivot are you using though. If you are using the 30 degree pivot block for the 22T/SCT you can not use the brass shim. It must be used with the 20 degree pivot block for the 22 buggy, I think what Casper is getting at is that there are 2 different blocks, you have to make sure your shimming the right one.

Yes there are two different pivots.

This one from the buggy requires a shim

http://www.tlracing.com/Products/Def...ProdID=TLR1072

This one is the stock SCT pivot does not use a shim

I found the same thing when I first built mine. I have never run the ball diff, and have the case screws backed of a little to eliminate the binding. It has worked fine so far.

Looks like I should have ordered 1mm smaller...

http://www.mcmaster.com/#5233t47/=pr7l0z

I had some 3.5s that were too tight on the shaft, and not big enough in the seat, so I went with 5mm. The 5x2s that I got are a bit too tight on the outer diameter, so they bulge a tiny amount. So, 4mm x 2mm I think is actually what should work properly.

Keep us posted. If they work well, I'll buy some off you. Unless you need all 50.

Been racing indoor carpet so far this year. What is a good spur pinion combination for running outside in the dirt? Also what turn motor are you guys running? I run a Tekin in my Losi 8ight E and am happy with the performance. We have a large technical track outside with steep jumps.

I am very happy with my tekin gen2 Speedo and 8.5 motor. I don't always run 8.5 depends on track smaller indoor tracks I will run a 10.5. Now for gearing I would recommend starting with the kit book setups. Again this is going to depend on track size and layout.
