yeah matt, AE switched to iron. Says FE on the weights. tower listed this exact same part number as lead, so i am confused. I assume AE updated from lead to iron

Do you guys know what size of drill bit to make the 4th hole in the shock tower?

I'd suggest putting a bit in the existing holes and seeing which would be the closest fit to them. But the 3/32 should be close, I can't remember which I did mine off hand.

Talk8ing ab out the 3 oz in the batt tray, will the truck feel diff from one another if I stack 3 oz and place them behind the batt foam or if I just cutout a section in the batt foam and place them there linearly?

Maifields setup does not say it, but is the ballast weight used on the sc10 behind the tower? I have put 1oz behind there on my b4 and it fit nicely. or is that too far back?

Matt, sorry if I missed it but how much weight are you putting under the battery foam? Are you running the battery all the way back?

Thanks for the continued education ;)

I run the 3oz in the back of the battery compartment, also running a shorty pack and an additional 20g in the battery compartment. I'm also using the ballast weight.

Would an aluminum front bulkhead so anything for steering or other thing that's positive? Or would it just empty my bank account faster? lol

lol, looks like a tank. I think I will try 1oz behind the tower also, I need the rear to be planted.

Matt Trimmings 09-05-2012 05:50 PM

Actually not too bad, especially with the shorty pack.

SAMCRO 09-05-2012 05:57 PM

Has anyone had any luck running the 20 or 25 degree front caster blocks?

Wildcat1971 09-05-2012 06:23 PM

What motor size are you running?

17.5-13.5 depending on where im running, I have been taking some of the weight out for higher bite tracks and it's worked well.

Wildcat1971 09-06-2012 06:39 AM

Matt, have you ever run RPM front arms on the sc10? Are they softer/stiffer than the AE plastic ones?
