ok, thanks, What should I use for a 8.5t motor?

PS-why can't i just use the 76t spur?

If you got a 76 spur thats fine you are just lowering the spur tooth count and/or raising the tooth count on the pinion till you get it where you want.

I am using a 19/87 with a 8.5 on the track I run at. I run in the 140 degree range with 30 degrees of motor timing.

Excessive rear toe in will kill top end also.

I'm off to the hobbyshop then...good thing its only 10 minutes away:)

have to be carefull on temps on esc because im using a low profile heatsink one without a fan untill the novak people process my order for a regular one.

Never broke an axel either. I usually dont hit things, an even if I did
they are small love taps not "Clang Clang" LOL

That means i'd need a 23-24t gear to go with the 87. Would that even fit? I have the timing at 30 or so. Should I move the timing up to 45 then go for a 23-24t pinion?

Thanks

You should run the timing at 45 no matter what using a GTB OR GTBII.

I would also suggest a smaller spur. I run a 75 most of the time with 17.5 or 13.5.

It's just you. Actually, it's not you, the bearing crush tube is probably 1) missing or 2) worn out.

I run B44 plastic hubs so with a larger outer bearing. I've never had a failure in almost two years.

How about camber postion on the hubs, what is best to control rollovers?

Raising the roll center is one way. Lower the ball studs at the tower. You could lower the ride height also.

Longer the link the more stability you have. So use the outside hole closest to the tire.

I ended up getting a 21t pinion because the hobbyshop was out of 22 and 23t. They said I could even run a 24t if I wan't too...but I think I would have to get a smaller spur so it could fit.

I converted to the hex, i put all the shims back and spacers. now when i tighten down the wheel nut the wheel pins bend and it binds up.if i lose the wheel nuts it spins free but the wheel nuts come off on the track. if i remove the shims i can tighten down the wheel nut, but now i have slop in the axels they slde back and fourth.

it keeps blowning hub carrier bearings.

dont use shims with hexes and make sure your crush tube is inside the hubs

I have no idea what's keeping you from a smaller spur. You should buy one ASAP.
