[QUOTE=J_Bone;10860183]Sure...I run both in reverse or Rebound, so the valves go on top.
Front-yellow Avid [can use green AE springs], 40wt. Losi [37.5 AE], blue + blue + washer + tan. If your track is fairly smooth, you can use blue+blue+tan+washer in front.
Rear-Red Avid [can use silver AE springs], 30wt.AE, blue + blue + washer+tan.
My ride height, I run 33mm front and 32mm in the rear. Its higher than most but. it for the big jumps at my track. You can run what you normally run.
With bypass pistons, I don't use the drop method. It will rebound higher dropping it than when your driving it. I press it down till chassis hits table and then let it up. Use that measurement.[/QUOT

which avid is the same as as the ae blue from the setup that u put on here?

Up front; Blue, not green. I don't like posting from my cell phone.

Anyone done any testing with the shorty packs in the SC or does it just take too much weight out of the truck.

no problem. I posted my setup before but it doesn't have the Avid springs listed.
Gamedog wanted MIP bypass1 setup as well, were you inquiring about that or just the SC10 setup?

yes, they are the same size.

Sorry, yes the bypass1 setup. Thanks!

The winner of the Cactus Classic SCT 17.5 (Mike Beaver) was running a shorty, he also got 2nd in SCT 13.5 with a shorty. Thats all the insight I have on it.

I was told not to run them, so I never did.

I will get a bypass1 setup sheet done tonight. I'm going to upload it to the MIP as well. But I still email you.
I was practicing last night so I didn't get a chance to fill it and scan it.

I need to start getting more in touch with all the Arizona guys here. I'm doing my interview process monday and tuesday with intel. With luck I'll be moving back home in September after I retire from the Navy and starting work.

Ackerman is the term used to describe steering geometry that causes the inside front wheel to turn "tighter" than the outside front wheel.

Take a look at this page, its got a great writeup on it all.

hey bys im new to this side of the thread only been in the buying and selling section but im looking for reccomendations on a motor setup for a sc 10 i just traded for. it came with the castle sidewinder sv2 esc and the 5700 kv 4 pole motor. wondering if theres a better motor i can go with. esc should be fine as its gonna be my 2wd track truck. would a 3800 kv be more suitable for it? also wondering if i can ask questions about my slash 4x4 and slash 2wd trucks here? running a mmp race sct system in my slash 4x4 with the castle 3800 kv motor. would i be better off switch the motors and running the 5700 kv motor in my slash 4x4. or should i just trade my 5700 kv motor for a 3800. im also running the vxl system in my slash simply because its my everywhere truck. simply sits in the back of my truck in a pop crate with two batteries so whereever i go and i find i decent spot i can rip up or for winter time driving ect. ive got a spare 5900 kv hoobyking motor from the sc10 trade so im wondering if i could run that with the vxl 3s esc without blowing it. thanks any help would be appreciated
