Not sure if a good idea or not, but was looking to use a receiver box instead of adding weight to the receiver side of the chassis to balance it up. Anyone done this or know how much the receiver box weighs?

I have gone longer on the camber links, stiffened the suspension, move weight around with lead and the pack position and it is always the same. I tried to copy my sc10 setup to my kids, but no good. they just dont handle the same. I took my tires off and out it on her truck and still different. I give up. I think I will just give her my truck and sell hers, lol.

In my experience its related to the diff tightness, especially at low speed.

Hey try something this week. Swap transmissions. just remove yours and put it on hers. Slipper, motor plate, the entire thing. If the problem is still there, while at the track, swap shocks. Do rears first, then fronts. Do each of these in progression and you'll find your issue.

yeah, I planned on doing the shocks. I can try the tranny also.

Been having hard time getting my truck to hook up in the rear too. Running a setup for my surface and bumpiness but I still have massive oversteer. I can keep the rear planted if I am on the gas all the time, but any weight xfer off the rear wheels and it becomes super hard to control and rear comes around.

This is when the truck is actually running when something is not breaking...broke a second axle pin in as many days. Local hobby town gave me solid pins for the 4x4 (I have a 2wd) and they don't fit, argh! Wasted another morning of practice cause of part breakage on this damn sc10...not at all impressed so far with this truck :(

I have never broken an axle pin. And yes, we are having the same issue. I might need to make sure she has no drag break also. to lessen the weight transfer forward.

I HOPE Team Associated comes out with a NEW from the ground up SC10. Sick and tires of seeing how awesome the Losi 22T SCT is. I may defect to Losi if something new doesn't come out soon....

lol, how awesome the losi is huh. How is it soooo awesome? It lost nationals to the old school non BB sc10.

If you think losi is that good maybe purchase one,I know you will have to dump some extra money on that thing to make it reliable, plus find a setup which ive been reading on there thread is toture.with the sc10 you don't really
Need anything but maybe bigbores at the most.most of it is the driver anyways.

Wildcat1971 01-01-2013 04:50 PM

People find all the alum chassis and what not appealing. Because it is new, it muct be better. I know a few people that prefer the xxx-sct over the 22sct.

Im not a fanboy by any means. I would have jumped to the 22sct just to try something new if it was that much better then the FT Sc10. But from what I see its nothing special and looks like more headache then its worth. The SC10 on v2's w/bb springs is great and with AE BB shocks is even better. So for me its AE(For 10th scale that is).

lol, I watch the losi, durango, kyosho and schumacher buggy threads. I also watch the techno sc 4x4 thread also, because i might buy one. only because the AE truck was TRASH. But yeah, the losi sct thread is full of truck and setup issues.

Jokermayhem 01-01-2013 07:22 PM

Nicer build... 4 screws and the diff comes out... narrow chassis and all the electronics are in the middle...comes with big bores. Nothing on my SC10 is stock...and the only reason Losi isnt winning nationals is cause of the drivers. Give Mayfield a Losi and watch what happends....just saying:lol:
